Cloud hosting offers the ease of scalability. This means that it is possible for you to scale up quickly to deal with unexpected traffic surges and create an infrastructure that can grow with your requirements over a longer period.

Cloud hosting also offers better performance as it allows for load balancing across multiple servers. Load balancing causes less strain on any singular server leading to a better user experience.

Increased page loading speed has a huge positive effect on your website's SEO rank.

As for making use of cloud, you may start by selecting a cloud hosting service and enquire them.

The site hosted in a cloud environment performs far better than that hosted on a traditional server set up. For those who require the speed of loading page, flexible and immediate resource allocation, disaster recovery plans, energy saving and climate friendly server set up and above all, more in less prices, then the cloud is a perfect solution for them.

1. Increased Server uptime
2. Pay for the resources as per your needs
3. Increased security
4. Scalability of resources
5. Independence of location
6. Increased Group collaboration
7. Backup and disaster recovery
8. Latest technology
9. Environment friendly
10. Performance

Friend @hostingraya all this those it mean cloud hosting doesn't have any disadvantage? Because they was a time before I joined internet marketing that I saw on news that the U.S government doesn't support cloud hosting,

Since then I lost some interest in cloud hosting, is they any truth concerning the news I just saw? or it was just a mere news that was faked up,

CU's truly I can still remember the day I read that news but can't really remember the reason why,
The government said such.
Thanks take care

Cloud hosting is the latest in the industry. But i would like to say that it has many advantages over the disadvantages. It depend upon the services one opts for and also the service provider.

I don't know much but as I heard cloud hosting have security issues I'm not sure about that but think about it, it is possible to happen cloud hosting, maybe hackers can get into your Private information.

Does anybody know if this is true? would VPS be safer than a cloud? Also your internet speed might drop which will effect your cloud hosting service!

- You can drive down costs cause you don't have to buy all IT insfractructure and hardware necessary.
- You can access your information from the Internet wherever you are.
- Reduced downtime.
- Most cloud hosts can handle disaster with backups and disaster recovery solutions
- More security. Protection against DDS attacks

Tha'ts the most relevant to me.

Here are the some of the advantages of cloud hosting for you -

1. Accessibility - Main advantage of cloud hosting is that the files are accessible anywhere and anytime. You can access the files when you would like to access without matter of place.

2. Backup facility - Cloud hosting service always have the copy of your data on the the server. So in the case of disaster, you will have the copy of data even if the data on the main server get deleted or lost.

3. Low cost solution - You will need to pay just the amount for the storage which you are actually using.

4. Secure service - You don't have to worry about the security. Cloud hosting provider will have the best infrastructure on which you don't need to worry about the security , they have their setup for security.

5. High degree of uptime

I do not agree about Security, Backup and prices. Cloud hosting is more expensive than other hosting solutions, and if it provide a better availability, it doesn't mean you do not need to make regular backup. Then about security, it's the same rules everything, if you use qwerty123 as password, you will have the same security issues than on shared hosting.
There are enough proofs with celebrity's photos leaks to understand security is never high enough.

Traditional shared hosting means your account is housed on one physical server.

Cloud hosting means your site is housed on a cluster of physical servers, which can 'fail-over' if one goes down. IMPORTANT: This is not always true. Sadly, some hosts use a single server like traditional shared hosting, but market it as "cloud".

Those are the differences. Period.

Just because it is 'cloud' does not mean it is automatically faster, more secure, better backups, or necessarily even better uptime. It all depends on the infrastructure the provider uses.

Actually, lately I have heard the opposite about cloud hosting. Most people I have consulted about this have told me it is quite safe and that there is no worry. Where did you hear that it was unsafe and why?

Cloud is not unsafe, but it's not safer than any hosting solutions.
Cloud hosting provide a better availability than other hosting solution, with the usage of clusters of dedicated servers instead of individual servers.
But there is no other features. For the security, on the hosting part you can get your website hacked the same way like with a shared hosting plan, and on the storage part if your data are not fully encrypted, that's exactly the same than a shared hosting plan.

I guess that any hosting option is not entirely or perfectly safe, but the cluster of servers, as mentioned above, does make me feel a bit safer with my data than using just an individual server.

Cloud Hosting mostly means that it is a cluster of servers together that combines into one Mega Server to provide :

1) Ultimate uptime as if one server goes down, not all goes down.
2) Combined servers performance, means less chance of of one server being overloaded, as load is spreaded to other servers too

However, don't be too casual. Shit happens, so always keep offsite/local backups of your own whenever you can.

Google digital ocean RAID failure and see what I mean. They offer good compensation for your lost data, but remember, if you don't have any own backups, even with the best RAID/cloud hosting, shit may happen..

Hello Gifthoy,

I would say my friends here have handled the advantages of cloud hosting very well. They have factored in all the benefits you get with cloud host service.Cloud hosting does have disadvantages. The reason many of us don't see the downside to cloud hosting is because we are looking at the big picture. We are looking at cloud service as a whole and not as the individual service providers.Yes,you will get these benefits from using cloud hosting service but you don't actually have to benefit. Why?

1.Cloud hosting providers may offer customer support, but is it around the clock support? Some providers have customer support hours where you may get support say 4 hours a day from 10:00 PM to 2:AM.The rest of the time you may have to wait and handle your struggles alone.Again,I am not saying this is a problem you will face using cloud hosting, but you may depending on your choice of provider.

2.Some cloud hosting providers are not flexible. In fact, some may personally ensure that you remain a loyal customer for life. How do they do this?Well they may ensure that the process of your migration to another hosting provider is very slow and expensive. They may retain your data so you should make sure your partnership agreement clearly states that you retain your data even in the event that you are unsatisfied and wish to terminate your contract. You will find that in such hosting services, their applications make it very hard to convert data into other systems.

3.Using cloud services is cheap when you compare that with their effectiveness, but this will only be so if you choose the right provider. If you are unlucky and partner with a bad hosting provider, you may find the cost overwhelming. The price to start using their services such as customer support may be cheap but ask yourself,do they provide all the services you need?Sometimes the applications you need to run your software are not incuded in your package and you have to incur a further cost.

I have attempted to show you some of the problems you may face if and only if you don't choose the right provider.

Cloud hosting has several advantages, although there some disadvantages that come with the service.
Because is the collections of several servers to form a robust Mega Server, reliability is assured. When a server is down, others are available to provide the service required by the user.

It is flexible. Even though the most reliable back is the local back with hard drive and other devices, On cloud services, data can be accessed from any desired station.

Shared hosting basically refers to multiple websites hosted together and sharing resources in a server (storage, bandwidth etc). Shared hosting suits company who has a budget and requires basic plans and it is easy to use. However, if your web page faces alot of traffics, this will not be the best option.

Cloud hosting is where your website is hosted on a cluster of servers instead of web hosting, having one server shared. Companies who have a high traffic, this will be the best option for them. However, better services would mean that you will need to pay more.
