@aussielunix Your client needs reality check. A server with the above mentioned hardware specifications in the New York area, with limited data transfer would cost around $200 per month. Add $600 - $1000/mo for removing the bandwidth cap and allowing your client to burst to full 1 Gbps. I would suggest you client to:
- Be precise on the data transfer limit in TB (or bandwidth limit in Mbps)
- Consider the New York is among the most expensive locations for housing IT infrastructure and delivering IT services.
