What things do you expect from your web host?

When moving to a new web hosting, What things do you expect from your provider?

You expect:
- your web host to solve all of your website related issues or just some in a short time
- your web hosting will provide you an affordable price
- DDOS protection
- managed hosting
- cPanel is a must have
- live chat support

or what is the best expectation from your web hosting?

As power-user :
Price/Performance are my only expectations. But support & services are always what most of users looked for.

The one thing that can make a huge difference for me in what I look for, need and expect is the quality and speed of support. If a host takes forever to help me with any issues and the support is poor and just not too bright, then I will not use that host. The way I see it, everyone is going to need support at some point so you had better have great support that can take care of things fast and properly.

I have had both ends of the spectrum as far as quality of support, I do not ever want to have junk/horrible support ever again!

For me Support > Performance and uptime > Features included > Price

I would expect good support and performance.

High quality servers with least problems, support/problem solving(or assisting) and reasonable prices are some of the important things. Others mentioned in this post are optional including DDoS Protection, managed hosting and cpanel.
