So, I was searching up for available domain names and I came across some of their available offers.

For a .com offer I was given this

£12.99* £0.99* when you register for 2 years or more. 1st year price £0.99 Additional years £12.99

1 year for 1£, it really sounds nice. Sure, you are registering for more than 1 year, so there is that to keep in mind, but what I am interested in is their premium selection.

I was browsing other domain offers and I saw 1 with a premium tag but it was around 700£. Whats the deal here? The only thing the GD explains is that they can introduce you to the seller, but with such a high price, why would you go for it?

I have same question with you in the past when I searched a domain and it showed me as premium and costs around $1000+, I wanted to have it at that time because it is a beautify domain, easy to remember or some points we often call as premium domains but after considered some days I would go with a new domain start from $11 / month at Godaddy.

Honestly Its worth buying premium domain if you have a good budget and already have a plan to develop your new site on that domain and earning more money from it.

Usually those premium domains are listing or on auction on GD market by many guys. So if you're searching terms related to them, Godaddy will offer you those names. Premium domains are worth to buy in case your business need them or some domain investors buy and sell again with higher price. I have listed below some benefits about premium domains for your references:

What are their benefits?

When you have a premium domain then you're owing a gold mine. You can use it to develop your own online business or just simple flip it with higher price. Because of their price, worthy and quality, premium domains always have these benefits below:

Have amount of traffic: Premium domains usually receive hundreds or even thousands of traffic daily. Especially for generic domains.
Easy to remember: Usually they're very easy to remember due to it's nice, dictionary or exact match keyword.
Easy to spell: It's short, brandable or dictionary word so it's very easy to spell and pronounce
Have better brand image: Premium domains convey an image of prestige and added credibility, that have a better chance to increase sales or leads
Better in SERPs: Many EMDs (exact match premium domains) have a better chance to get on top positions in search engine ranking with the keyword they contain.
Market trend & Investment potential: You can invest in a trending premium domain in a specific market and then resell it later with a higher price for a profit.
You can read the full article here: What is a Premium Domain Name?

I hope this helps.

The cost of the domains is very high if you are going for premium domain names. For example domain names such as .IO if registered through godaddy. You can find that it requires more cost than regular prices. Godaddy charges very high for the renewal of those domains too. Though most of the premium domains are ranked higher thee days. But you may have to make sure that you're checking it out on the Google search instead of domain check list. Because often domains price is inflated when we search through the domain search bar.

They say Go daddy has the best domain deals. However, I have never been able to use Go daddy deals. I once tried to get a dot com for $1, which otherwise cost just about $10. However, in order to buy domain for $1 I need verified paypal, which I did not have. Therefore, I had to let go this offer.

I would check on other registrars for consistently low costs. But GoDaddy auctions can be good.
