I was informed today that when someone was trying to purchase my eBook through Paypal, but an error message was appearing. Something along the lines of "This user doesn't accept this currency".

I just thought I should share how I fixed the problem to help you in advance!!

The problem was basically that my Paypal wouldn't accept USD payments. Here is how I fixed it.

Log into Paypal > Click My account > Go to Profile > Select my money > Paypal Balance > Click "Currencies" > Click "Select new currency" > Select the currency you want to add from the drop down menu then click "Add currency".

Sorted!! :D This is a problem that I've ran into and hopefully I can help some others solve this problem.

If you haven't added the most popular currencies to your Paypal account, I would suggest adding the most popular currencies to prevent this problem!

Thanks for the info. I have never had problems with Paypal so far concerning other countries but I will check and see what currencies I have listed the next time I'm on Paypal.

The one problem I don't like about Paypal is I've not found a way to contact them and they don't have a live chat. If you know of a way to contact them please share. Last time I looked there was only the list of common problems with answers. Thanks.

The only way to contact PayPal is to call them directly. The support can be unhelpful at times but they don't offer any live chat. Although you can also email support but it usually ends up with them telling you to just call customer support.

I no longer use PayPal due to my history with them. I have ran into way too many issues with them freezing funds randomly and causing havoc. My go to platform is 2Checkout which allows users to still pay you using PayPal. The wait time on your money is paid out weekly straight to your bank as well which is nice, kind of like a paycheck if you think of it that way.

I don't believe there is a Live Chat (I wish they did!) but I have found a way to contact them via email and phone. Although, I'm on the UK site so the phone number probably wont be the same for people in the US, but the email should work fine.

The "Call us" & "Email us" is on the right hand side of the page.

I'm actually not able to post a link because I haven't posted enough on this forum but I just typed "contact Paypal" into Google.

Thanks!

You want to always accept payments in one, maybe to different currencies. The way that exchange rates fluctuate, and the fact that you may not understand some rates, you may in the end be ripping yourself off. They can pay you in any currency and Paypal will convert it, so request that ALL payments received are in your currency.
