success druggy submitted a new resource:

Worth of my website ? - Worth of my website ?

Hello Friends,

I have a blog which is more than 3 months old and having average of 100+ daily pageviews. I have seen it is possible to sell site on the internet, but don't know the real value of it. I would like to sell if it has a good resale value.

Can you guys give me a idea about the resale value of my website?

Please take a look to: successdruggy.com

Thanks a lot for your help!

It's much easier to evaluate a website by how much it's making every month. A website is known to be worth 3 to 6 times its income. So if it's making $100 every month it could sell for about $300 or more. $300 being the minimum.

But most of the time the website is worth what the buyer is willing to pay. If you say 100 pageviews, that means you're getting about 30 unique visitors per day which is not much to encourage someone to buy. But if you're making good money with it then it can sell good because the buyer will realize that it doesn't require a lot of traffic to make money.

Hope that helps.

Yeah, unfortunately for your sake it's worth the domain registration fee.

The only way I can see this being monetized would be with Commission Sales, CPA offers, or low quality CPM/CPC advertisements. High quality advertisers such as Adsense wouldn't accept a domain with the term "drug" in it.

Besides this fact you have very little in the way of traffic as Nytshade pointed out. Plus, your website isn't even a year old.

If you can't find a way to monetize this website successfully, I would move onto another project/niche.

Most time a site won't sell if it has no revenue. You can look at sites on Flippa.com to see what niche they are in, revenue they have, and what they are selling for. This will give you an idea. There are also places on the web you can enter your web address and they say they will give you the worth of your site, but frankly they are usually way off the mark.

It is a very nice and clean website with a good design, but most people are looking to see how much money it is making per month. Multiple that by about 4-6 and that is your value. The only other factor that could change value would be UV's which would be unique visitors or your domain name. A domain can be worth anything someone is willing to buy it for. You never know, someone may float by your website and find that domain very intriguing and propose you an offer.
