I have a twitter account with some hundred of followers so sometime I submit websites or blogs to twitter to get free traffic for my websites/blogs. Number of my twitter followers is enough to promote my sites ?

Any thoughs ?

you'll probably need over 1000 followers to effectively promote whatever site you want. The reason for this is that you need to factor the possibility that some of your fans can be inactive users..

More importantly, you'll want to focus on the number of retweets you can get from your fans.

Well, you need followers that are looking for what you have to promote. I found out doing some research that most Internet Marketing sites that use Twitter to promote their business, receive more spam than actually people who are interested in what they are offering.

I don't promote anything dealing with making money on Twitter unless I have at least 2000 followers that are interested in something that has nothing to do with Internet Marketing because those people are doing the same that I am doing, trying to make money on Twitter. CPA offers are good to promote to my followers and PROMOCODES to my web hosting followers.

More followers you can get on twitter then more traffic you will get for your website.
in my point of view, above 2000 followers are good for a twitter account

I do have around 200 twitter followers right now. And it may increase in the coming days, as I do use Twitter often.

Hundreds of followers are not enough to give you a decent amount of traffic. You should work harder to get more followers , 3 thousand followers could give you a special lift with regards to getting more traffic :)

I have two twitter accounts, one is my personal account and another twitter account is for business purpose. I use my personal twitter account to promote my services and products. On my business account, I promote my business. I have just about 500 followers on my personal account and more than 6K followers on my business account.

The number game is what gives you the thing you are looking for when it comes to marketing and advertising, it's what provides the prospective customers for anyone advertising any products and services.

At the moment, I can boast of about 450 followers on my twitter account and I am still looking to increase it because it's has been very helpful and useful in promoting my perfume and body sprays sales. It has practically increased my selling rate by 10% ever since I took to social media marketing.
