Personally we won't be accepting Bitcoin for payment, I think I'm going to wait until it matures a little bit more, so I can't comment on the success level others have had while allowing them. I can say however that if you are planning on doing this, I have heard of Bitpay, they do offer a free plan for smaller accounts but you can pay a monthly fee too if you want to remove transaction fees and such.

Hi, we have not tried bitcoin and are not planning to as it is relatively new and not many people use it.

However you can try as I see many web hosting services using bitcoin as payment mode.

Although I don't have regular services that I sell I have considered accepting Bitcoin as a possible payment form based on some information and requests that I have had in the past for it.

A lot of registrars and hosting companies have started accepting it as I have seen over the last few months so it looks like it's going to start to be accepted more and moreover time.

Personally I really don't know enough about it to pay with or accept it as a payment form for anything. I have been meaning to look into it more but time has not allowed this.

I previously have setup the Bitpay WHMCS payment gateway for a client. I found it to work flawlessly in WHMCS 6.x, however last time I tried the update for 7.x I found it to be buggy. I think how often it is used largely has to do with the clients your business is attracting. More tech savy groups such as gamers are going to be more likely to use Bitcoin rather than, say a hosting company that is geared towards small businesses.

The most important thing to remember is security. Only use trusted plugins, and try to consolidate as much as possible.

Yes, BitPay has been fantastic for us. We don't need to worry about the exchange nor do we have to very about the fluctuations. BitPay will handle all this for you with extremely low transaction fees ( 1% ) and a zero fraud/chargeback issue.

Yes and i'm already doing it. Fees on most exchange and btc payment processors are quite low so its worth to accept it.

The uncertainty is the price of btc itself, which can be quite volatile sometimes

Yes of course bitcoin is very popular nowadays, also if you use bitpay you can add your bank account there to withdrawal. If you are using any other merchant then https://anycoindirect.eu/ is legit registered company in Netherland, you can sell them for paypal or bank transfer (sepa). The best thing with bitcoin is that they can't chargeback, we have had a couple of customers (most Asian) used our services for three month and after that they go to bank and report as unauthorized transaction so we have had to refund. Tha's why i like bitcoin.

It is something I have done on some of my sites, and just avoided on others. It is one of those things that I can't see being around forever so I don't want to fully throw my eggs in the same Bitcoin basket.

I would accept only when most of the companies out there start accepting it as a form of payment processor, as there is no level of security barrier involved. The chances of getting scammed are very high, but no doubt in my mind that blockchain technology is the future.

bitcoin i THINK is two edged sword, say u receive 1BTC from a client, the bitcoin/USD might go down (so u will be losing money instead of making more money) and it might go way beyond your expectations and you might be doubling your money like that, but as many said it is not real money, also u need to be aware not to deal with bad bitcoin exchange services such as igot (am not advertising for them, they dont deserve it) those are real thieves and will take your hard earned bitcoins and not send u the real money to your bank account and leave u hanged there for months waiting for ur real money to arrive, really i dont trust BTC anymore like i used to, i still dont understand how big retailers selling expensive tangible goods accept BTC, i personnally allowed BTC payments for a while but u will rarely ever find clients want to pay you with BTC, thats based on my experience of course...!

Yes I will, you see one of my data centers where I get dedicated servers they take bitcoins so each month i can pay with the same bitcoins my clients use, it works well for me as a way of keeping cash on-hand.

We have accepted Bitcoin for about 6 months now. Every single order that has come in and wanted to pay with Bitcoin has been fraud or spammer. There might be legitimate clients out there using Bitcoin, but we have not found them yet.

Hello,

I have considered offering Bitcoin as a payment method for my hosting, however chosen not to. This is becuase PayPal already supports credit and debit cards, as well as guest checkout, so I see no need to use Bitcoin.

Furthermore, Bitcoin is untraceable and can only be redeemed in cash if you have accumulated a large amount of bitcoin purchases.

It'll be a while till Bitcoin becomes mainstream, becuase many large registries and web hosts still refuse to accept PayPal or unverified PayPal due to security and fraud issues. These issues would be bigger if we bring Bitcoin into the game, as it is completely untraceable and impossible to track for fraud etc.

Bitcoin is an emerging cyptocurrency that is already accepted as mainstream currency in countries like Japan. Anyone here from Japan? I read in newspaper that government have regulated bitcoins acceptance in Japan. For me, I wanted to implement the bitcoin, but being in a country like India. There is only one gateway providers who allows bitcoin as payment and which helps convert bitoins to INR. There are still lots of restrictions in bitcoin payment dealing, and said by some members we may also get fraud or spam clients who does not care to read TOS and other hosting policies. So its 50-50 yes and no.

Given the growing markets, having bitcoin acceptance will help a company capture emerging markets or new markets where people prefer to use bitcoins. Another advantage is, if you accept bitcoins as a business, you get the privilage to be listed in bitcoin accpeted businesses or companies, so that will be a free PR and publicity. Just my thoughts on what I have researched in last few months..

Yes, Bitcoin is big in Japan. You can pay with it locally at thousands of retail stores and it's an actual legal currency. 。^‿^。 Although with payments for hosting a lot of times they tend to want to hide and not always for good reasons...

We have been using Coinify for about 6 months as well, we haven't had any new customers try to use it but current customers have and it works very well. They are also very easy to setup and work with so I'd recommend them.

I see this post was open a few years back, now bitcoin is more popular and many accent it as #1 cyptocurrency. I'd say offering it as a payment method to your clients is good, people tend to like choice variety.
