Hi

Which is the best program to do editing on CSS or HTML? At present I use notepad++ which is pretty good. I even tried TopStyle, which used to I liked the it finishes tags and displays the effects of code immediately, same as Dreamweaver but its so chunky and theres too much going on.

So suggest me if there is another which you use.

Thanks in advance

I sure you knew codes and programming so you are using notepad++, I'm using Dreamweaver, Emeditior, Notepad++, I used all and usually to switch to suitable program in any cases that its functions help me solve problems on codes that need program's functions :D

Notepad++ is a small size, compact and faster in loading software. It will show starting and ending points of html, css, php etc., codes. But it will not give predictive elements like how we get in dreamweaver. So My suggestion is use Adobe Dream Weaver CC which is advanced version.

Or you can use Netbean which is developer friendly.

I have been using KompoZer and Blue Griffon, but I prefer Blue Griffon due to its easy of use. The only chllenge I have had with blue Gliffon is about changing the font colors. I don't know if this is because I use the free version of this software. I don't usually see the feature or icon for font coloring but with KompoZer I do. I think I will also try to use Dreamweaver or Notepad++ to compare and see the differences.

It depends on your own choice. I'm using Dreamweaver since long time & I'm very much comfortable
with it. There are many other editors like: Pspad, Notepad++ or Notepad etc.

Sublime, Atom & Brackets are the top three I use for hard-coding HTML, CSS & JS. Brackets can be quite slow at times but works a treat when you use it. As a web designer I tend to keep away from the WYSWYG programs now for speed and efficiency. I find that I make my websites 10x faster without the visual display as I get to know the code and I can visualise how things will work in my head. Once you've made many websites you'll also start to see this.

Notepad++ hands down. It's the best for me, I've been using it for 10 years, it's free too! And really lightweight

I probably use notepad++ in order to have a clean and awesome editing place. And also, I used this site called CodePen when I do it on online or when I train or practice some of my codes, this site also makes it fast and easy to make codes.

Notepad++ is also a great editing tool and it is recommended for beginners, but if you want to use the tool which feel and look professional sublime text editor would be really nice.

The sublime text editor is a very light-weight tool, easy to use, and the look is really professional. Just give it a try you'll gonna love it. It's not that fancy like dreamwaver but it works really great.

Notepad++ is the best option for editing the CSS or HTML. If you would like you can try Dreamweaver, it is also best. I have used the Dreamweaver too for editing.

OR

You can use notepad, it's simple and if you are no familiar with the technical terms then go with it.
