What solutions for timthumb ?

Hi bro. The time I have a number of sites run by WP and are used to acquire images timthumb. But now the site is always in a state of overload. Server support staff has ben reported that the request involves timthumb created. just load an image that calls timthumb. The solution for this?

I am using css to render size for images, load fast and don't affect to your server load.
any other ideas ?
