Hi everyone,

Learning HTML is not enough to be able to design a professional looking webpages. I know that CSS will help a lot to improve the appearance of my pages. I know a little of it, but I feel I should exert a little more effort on learning it deeper.

My question is really simple.
Can you suggest of a good CSS tutorial Site?

Will appreciate your help a lot
Thanks...

Hello Edmond,

I would recommend that you visit W3Schools and check out CSS3 & HTML5

There are several other websites with an in depth detail on how to integrate CSS3 into specific elements of html. All you need to do is search for the correct keywords.

To generate a simple button check this out!

I am with Inquestor. W3Schools is best place to learn all development and design topics but is better to find video tutorials if you want to learn more rapidly and effectively.

I have bookmarked the links from this post, and plan to read up on them. I know this is an older post as well, but I feel that it could be beneficial to us newbies as well as some of you 'old folks' in designing things. I've also mentioned that to our fearless leader.

I'm considering checking out CSS again, as I have chickened out before, so that is partly why I reposted this post. And it can't hurt to brush up on my html as well, in case I decide to make some new pages. I hope that you guys might find this post handy as well...

I use multiple sites because it's always good to have different points of view. W3Schools, as others have mentioned is fantastic and super comprehensive. I have also used HTML Dog for super basics, CodeCademy, SoloLearn, Khan Academy, and Mozilla Developer Network. Stack Overflow is also a good place to learn answers to any of your specific devlopment questions.

I always use different tutorial sites to learn a programming language or framework. For HTML5 and CSS3, I used TutorialsPoint and W3Schools. There are other sites that offer tutorials for specific topics in web designing. Codecademy has great tutorials, too, on a range of programming languages. Their tutorials aren't always the latest version of the language but they can give you an easy introduction.

Codecademy and Lynda seem offering paid tutorials.
I visited these sites and got some tutorials from them.
I have to admit that learning from these sites will help to improve our knowledge faster and better in fields that we care about.

You can start off with W3Schools and learn the basics. And after that I would suggest trying to challenge yourself to make different web pages. Start writing the CSS on your own, and if you can't remember something or don't know how to do something, do a simple Google search. I think it'll be more interesting to do it this way as you'll feel a sense of accomplishment and you'll learn more things sooner and also get real world practice.

I learned HTML and CSS from Brad Hussey on Udemy initially, but many of the tips and tricks I picked up along the way have stemmed from css-tricks.com, a site created by the co-founder of Codepen, Chris Coyer. Definitely give it a go!

Apart from W3schools, which literally everyone suggested, you can always try YouTube videos, there are enough qualified people putting out interesting content in a way that you can learn easily on YouTube, just google some CSS tutorials and find playlists that have a lot of videos on them, most likely you'll find something good and you can start from there.

I am learning from Alison.com. I learned the basic HTML and Web Design here. It's a pretty cool website that offers various certification including Diploma in Web Design and Diploma in CSS and SEO. I don't know how legit their accreditation is, but there's no harm in trying and learning something from them. I am satisfied with my skills and still learning more.

W3schools is the god of all web tutorial sites. It has a user friendly interface, and is complete materials for learning. One of the best features is the interactive quizzes. You should try it some time.
