I just imagined and i want to ask everybody here.
We can tell 90% of companies using WHMCS
If one day WHMCS send you an email that they want to discontinue this project. All WHMCS will stop working within 20 days.

So guys where will you go if this situtaion happened?

Clientexec or Blesta. I've used Clientexec before.
Possibly HostBill. I'd have to decide in the 20 days.

But with 49% of shares being owned by cPanel, (I think) I don't think it will happen any time in the near future.

I know it will not happen in the near future but this is just an imagination.
Do you think hostbill is worth for the price ?

I think so, yes. However, the main thing stopping me is reports of bug not being fixed when reported - they usually end up using support tickets ($75 each, or a bundle of 50 for $999) to get a fix.
I'm not a fan of having to pay for support tickets on a product that costs $999 for the base model alone.

There are alternatives available for the WHMCS. Best alternative is Blest, HostBill. Blesta is not open source while HostBill is the opensource. Blesta used to run only on Linux platform while HostBill used to run on Linux as well as Windows platform. HostBill is very convenient for the large web hosting companies.

Quick correction: Blesta is almost entirely open. We encode only 3 files for license protection. Also, Blesta works on Linux and Windows. None of the options you mention are FOSS (free open source software), but Blesta is the only one that doesn't encode virtually everything.

Right now there is no product that can cover the real good features WHMCS can offer for hosting companies. That said, if they ever decide to discontinue [ its never going to happen unless they loose their market lead and new solutions will appear in market to take them down ] there should be better alternatives at that time. Right now the best 2 alternatives are Blesta and HostBill. But again, if they ever tend to discontinue their project..there should be some strong competition and that means people will have better alternate options.

Honestly, if some of the smaller free billing systems can survive I highly doubt a titan like WHMCS could ever fall, especially since it's not free.
Just the sheer amount of paid mods, themes and modifications that WHMCS has from third-party developers should be able to sustain the project.
Not to mention WHMCS is also used by VPS businesses, even some generic e-commerce businesses.
