You can try do both. There's no harm in trying both of them you will figure it out along the way which is better. But these days I think Vlogging is more popular than blogging. Youtube has wider audiences than blogging and when I see their vlogs they say youtube pays a lot because of advertisement. If you're up to profit then choose to be vloggers but if not be a blogger. But like what I said earlier you can do both there's nothing to lose if you both try of them. It's still your decision though we're just giving our opinions. Choose what you love most and what you enjoy most.

Have a nice time vlogging or blogging.

I suppose it depends if you want to type it up or just record yourself talking about your chosen topic.

Youtube is also free so it could save you the hassle of having find a web hosting provider, unless you use a free one such as wordpress.org

To do blogging or vlogging is a matter of preference and availability of resources.

Blogging is for writers who prefer to express their thoughts and share information online via written articles. Blogs are easier to set up. You just need a working laptop or desktop and an internet and with the help of platforms like WordPress. Also, you need to be aware of SEO, optimizing your blog via relevant, unique and timely posts. Some monetize their blogs with affiliate marketing to get more traffic and earn profit.

Vlogging is for people who can express themselves better thru talking and not afraid to face in front of the camera and record a video. You need the right equipment like camera, lighting or video recorder and even editing equipment to be able to come up with a good quality presentation. Professional vlogger can attest that they invest on expensive equipments and time to produce an excellent video. Vlogs are more engaging as most people prefer watching videos than reading blogs. You can upload your videos free on sites like YouTube and depending on subscriptions or following, you can earn money via YouTube and from the paid ads showing.

Other privileges you get will be knowing sponsors who will provide you special offers or freebies in exchange for doing a blog or vlog on their products/services. Both method can make your passion into money-making opportunities. The choice is yours or you can both. You will never know your limits until you have tried.

Blogging and vlogging are both effective strategies to convey a thought to internet world. It is also a powerful method to run an online business. A lot of people from YouTube has boost their net worth from vlogging. Others do both by posting a vlog and a blog at the same time. Because why not do both if you have much time and passion to it? Having a blog and a vlog is not an easy task to manage. They both require ideas on how to execute them in a very intelligent, yet witty way.

In blogging, you should have your own website. You may pay a little or a lot from domain name, web hosting and designing your web page, before putting to words the creativity in your mind. Wordpress can help you creating an attractive blogsite, and then study how to generate traffic through Pinterest.

On the other hand, vlogging requires you to have a better camera in order for you to look good on the monitor. I'll be honest, if a YouTuber has a low HD quality, even if he has a good content (for example, travel: Bali), I will discontinue watching him and just try to find a better quality vlog that has the same content. A good quality video plus audio really counts if you want to increase your viewers, likes, and subscribers.

In some cases, bloggers include their YouTube vlog on their webpage to visit directly into their channel. In this way, they already have a reader, and a viewer. This is a good way to dominate both world. So people are not just satisfied through their imagination, but visually as well.

Blogging and vlogging are both helpful to bring traffic

I think it would be a plus to do both giving your website a variety and making it different than the next to be able to catch attention of people. Your goal is to get plenty of visits and interaction can attract guest. Not only will you be able to express your personality in your writing skills, but you can make it more personable by being able to have videos and comments to drive traffic.
