Last time I bought a few .hosting domain names at Namecheap.com and using them for websites but today I wanted to purchase a new .hosting domain then they tell me this

example.hosting - We don't support this TLD
Why? is Namecheap a domain reseller? and main domain registrar for .hosting didn't collaborate with them any more?

Any thoughts?

Hello Dr. McKay, you are right, it seems namecheap doesn't provide .hosting domains anymore.

But price of this TLD seems to be very high at the moment (up to $350/year), so that's maybe the reason of why namecheap doesn't sell anymore this TLD.

Exactly but price is higher when I check with Name.com, .hosting is being offered with $599/year
Don't know why its price increased like a rocket
I bought this domain $25/year only.

I think this is the reason why they don't offer this tld any more but curious there are many TLDs with high price but they are still selling there.
or selling premium domains with pricing at least $$$$ or $$$$$

As their brand name is already tell you what they will offer you hence i think they will not offer any expensive tlds.

They just don't provide some of the Uniregistry TLDs as Uniregistry made a price hike up to 300% on some extension last year. Because of this, namecheap have retired some of their extensions to protest.

I completely understand the namecheap reaction to remove those TLDs. Personnaly, I will never own any TLD owned/operated by Uniregistry
