hi,

IP stands for Internet Protocol and is defined as a unique address assigned to each computer that is connected to a certain network. Internet Protocol address plays the role of a unique identifier that is used to provide valid location of a machine or a website in a given network.

There are a lot of reasons why it is recommended to use a Dedicated IP address for a website hosted on a Shared server, but we shall look through the main ones here:

It grants access to your website any time you need, It is beneficial for the email sender's reputation, It is good for a business identity....

A dedicated server is a single computer in a network reserved for serving the needs of the network. For example, some networks require that one computer be set aside to manage communications between all the other computers. ... In the Web hosting business, a dedicated server is typically a rented service.

In simple terms a Dedicated IP Address is an IP Address used solely for your account/domain. Most Shared and Reseller hosting packages will come with a Shared IP Address which means that multiple accounts/domains will be sharing the same IP Address which is generally fine but can occasionally cause issues if the provider doesn't keep their IP Address ranges clean.

Pretty much explained already as dedicated IP addresses are simply addresses that are not shared. Dedicated servers are physical devices (computer servers). This is like asking the difference between a postal address and the house at that location.

The dedicated IP is used for website if you need the website to run on the IP address which is other than the shared IP address. If there is SSL then it is used to installed on the dedicated IP.

It does not mean that the website will run from the other server, it will run from the same server , the IP will from the range of the IP address of shared hosting server.

Dedicated server is your own server which is act as your computer on which you can host the multiple sites, install applications and related services on it. You can built your own security alters and firewall on the dedicated server. You will have your own set of bandwidth, hard-disk and resources. You can rent the disk space, bandwidth, resources on the dedicated server.

You will have the root access of the server as it's your own server.

I would suggest, study the market online. Please go trough the review section of the website and after that proceed further. You can compare all the plans and go with the best suitable plan. Most of the company provide the on query charge for the dedicated server issues so make sure what type of support is available.

Make sure if they are going to setup your server or you need to setup it by your own.

It is something very common and defined itself by the terms "Dedicated IP address" and Dedicated Server.
Dedicated IP Address: A Internet Protocol address is a unique Internet address dedicated exclusively to a single hosting account.

Dedicated Server: A dedicated server is a type of remote server or computer system that is entirely dedicated to an individual, organization or application.

To simplify things, Hosting on a
dedicated server automatically
gets you a dedicated IP, whereas
Shared Hosting doesn't, despite
having a dedicated IP, websites
on shared hosting will still suffer
the same disadvantages such as
slow loading speeds and limited
control.

IMO, dedicated IP is the Class C IP Address which should be dedicated and not shared host. Dedicated Server is a whole new server which has been assigned for the specific website.
