Hey guys, I have a problem. I've been kicked out of my own website! I just activated the Jetpack plug-in on a new site that I'm currently developing. I activated the basic features and went on my merry way of adding content here and there.

Then I had to lot out because I had to go somewhere. When I came back and tried to log in, I was greeted with a message saying that my IP address was blocked by Jetpack because it considered it as malicious! Now I can't seem to find a way to log in to my site. :crazy:

Do you bros have any idea on how I can access my site again? It's driving me crazy!

Sorry to hear that you have been blocked on your website. This kind of thing has never happened to me. However, I want ti use jetpack on my website and I am having difficulty in activating jetpack for my websites. I want to know the basic process to connect jetpack with your website.

Hey! I finally was able to log in to my website. Lol. My IP has changed, thus allowing me to be able to access it again. I then proceeded to my jetpack dashboard and deactivated the "protection" feature. It's really very sensitive and may block you out of your own website. It's a bit too strict for its own good.

I didn't uninstall the plugin since it has a very good site stats tracking feature that shows you in depth data about the traffic coming to your site.

@vinaya, to install Jetpack, simply search it in the plugins section of WordPress. You'll have to create an account at WordPress.com in order to use it. Once you have an account, you can then activate jetpack in any of your websites.

That's great! Here are some tips for you -

You can white-list your UIP address if you've blocked due to too many failed login attempts. Below are the ways -

1. If you've accessed to your website (you are logged in, not blocked) then enter your IP address from Jetpack → Settings → Security → Brute force attack protection.

2. If you're blocked then you can visit WordPress.com. Once done then follow My Sites → Settings → Security → Prevent brute force login attacks. Enter your IP address.

3. You can add below code in wp-config file -
define('JETPACK_IP_ADDRESS_OK', 'X.X.X.X'); ---------------->? Replace X.X.X.X with your IP address.

Hope this will help you. :)
