I've grown quite attracted to Python in the past months, and hearing more about its potential applications made me eager to start to learn it (or, at least, get a taste of it to see if it's the right path to walk).
Do you have any particularly good resource you're willing to share to learn Python in the best way? By "best way" I mean the one that will make me understand its functions and how it works best and, possibly, that will make me learn it in the shortest possible span of time.

I don't have any experience with Python but I know a couple of my friends learned it by reading the book "Learning Python The Hard Way" and some Udemy courses, so I would suggest starting here if you're lost at the moment. You can also try Coursera if you want to have a bigger community to interact with.

I have got a course, "InfiniteSkills - Learning Python Programming", it's a great course for beginners, and another one "Pluralsight - Advanced Python", I might not need this one, cause it seems that the InfiniteSkills one is enough.

I gave a look to the Coursera courses in the past, and they're not half bad (I think it was the "Python for Everybody" course, if I recall). I've also heard about Udemy but never tried it myself, I'll be sure to give it a look as well. Same about the book. Thank you!

The first one you mentioned seems to be available on Udemy, too, so maybe you and the other user are both referring to the same one. I'll be sure to give it a shoot, thank you for the suggestion!

There are several videos uploaded on YouTube. You can learn from them easily as there is demo as well proper explanation. There are various sites too. You can learn the best tutorials from their own site. There are various PDF files too. You can refer them.

I loooooooooooooove python, I practically earn ends meet through python and I am here to give you my 2 cents.

First of all "Learning Python The Hard Way" is how I started, I sticked to it and did every single menial exercise, I didn't use IDLE and I truly grinded through that and let me tell you the grind is real and it is brutal. But I came out the other side with a solid foundation of the BASICS, after that I moved on to trial and error and writing my own programs while consulting the documentation and help. Then I moved on "Violent Python: A Cookbook for Hackers, Forensic Analysts, Penetration Testers and Security Engineers" which literally opened doors for me I didn't even think about before.

Lastly I would suggest a couple of Youtube videos if you are interested, one example is learning python through public data hacking (it has you following a suitcase around a city using only python)

I hope you don't give up, because this is truly a good journey and you will have many ups and downs, but you'll love it when you come out the other side fluent and ready for work.

Well you've lots of free online groups that teach coding nowadays but for me I find https://www.codecademy.com/ is the best. You can learn to code in all languages around your actual job. I find the courses are easy to follow and you learn every language. That's how I enjoy learning a new language.

I think I have learned to use python with Lynda. it has a step by step lesson and learning procedures videos that can easily followed and also exercises in which you can try and practice on hand the actual program and be familiarized with the actual environment of the program. Lynda doesn't only focuses on python but they also have different other stuff in which you can learn.

I have come across a particular online course site where they teach Python for 10 dollars (If you;'re willing to spend some extra). My friend, who is good at Python recommended me this when I got interested with Python. He mentioned that the site and the lessons are easy to understand because the lessons are thoroughly explained and comprehensive for those who want to learn Python.

As for me who is a bit more practical than him, I just searched through YouTube videos and invested my time on self-study researches. It took me a time to get a hang of it though but I can confidently say that I'm starting to master the basics.

In the end, it's up to you to decide. If you want to learn efficiently then I suggest to follow my friend's advice. But, if you are like me, who believes there's a practical route for everything, then do some self studies and you'll understand Python in no time.

I'm leaving you the site he recommended me. The site's name is Udemy and here's the link for that.

Again, good luck and I wish you the best!

On youtube you can check the channel "thenewboston" but keep in mind that their videos are very limited. If you really serious I strongly recommended programmiz.com they not only have python they also have other languages as C and Java. Most of my knowledge of python came to that website, I guarantee that is one of the best site out there. It's free.
