I have made use of namecheap hosting for some times and their service was very friendly to me and their hosting prices was very nice and affordable, they have a hosting of $10 for one year isn't that nice to use?

I want to make use of it next time on my clients site, but don't know their current status and how they handle their site right now ..

So If you have been making use of namecheap hosting on your blog or site can you please update me on their current status...

Thank you a lot

What are your requirements for shared hosting? What kind of website are you planing to host? Namecheap has quite steep renewal fees, only the first year is charged at the price mentioned above.

If you go to their website under shared hosting there is a "Renewal Price" listed below the 1st year's price for each of their services. The 1st years price is the big font one and the smaller font one below is the recurring cost.

The namecheophosting packages are really affordable. You can get a shared hosting for just $9.88 for one year. However, renewal fees at namecheap is really expensive, The package that you bought for $9.88 for the first year will cost you $38 in the second year. Therefore, you should be careful about using namecheap hosting.

Namecheap is a good company and with no doubts the best domain registar

when it comes to hosting i would suggest you to opt with a dedicated hosting platform rather than going with a domain registrar

Personally I wouldn't mix domain registar and hosting together, stuff may get complicated in the future. There are more and better hosts than NameCheap out there, so you can always keep registering domains at namecheap, and hosting them elsewhere

I've tried out NameCheap. They don't seem to market their hosting services as much, but they are fine compared to the initial price they offer.

I've actually written a full evaluation of Namecheap and it's quite extensive. If you want to take a look - hosting.review/hosting-provider/namecheap/

I have a domain name with Namecheap. Two in fact. The price is great and can't be beat imo. They've always given me great service, no technical issues. No issues with taking my domain down before my next re-up date or anything like that. In fact last year, they provided me with a nice coupon for taking a survey of theirs. A coupon which I used towards renewing my domain with them last fall. :ertery:

Yeah I agree with you, I am a couple of domains on Namecheap and they provided great support, especially live chat which I can have their answers to solve my problems immediately.
Beside namecheap, I have domains on Godaddy too but I consider namecheap is better because they have better price and support.

Godaddy is a big brand and very well known but I chose Namecheap because it felt like a company that communicated better with their customers. Also if I remember correctly GoDaddy was slightly more expensive than what I was looking for in terms of domain name pricing.

I use Namecheap web hosting myself as one of my web hosting providers and I am really happy with their services. I have had to use their support for one reason or another and they are always great and fast, which are two of the things that I look for in a web host.

I do use their $10 first year plan (and some higher ones) for some things and it performs well and is worth much more than that.

When it comes time for renewal it is a bit expensive but one thing the you can do is to contact their sales department when it get close to the renewal time and tell them that you would like to stay with them but need a lower price to do that and they will usually work with you and lower the price to keep you.

As with most hosts, if you just talk to them when renewal time comes around you will be surprised at how easy a hosting company will work with you in order to keep you as a customer.

It is a web hosting company that manages over millions of domains from thousands of customers. They are one of those anti-SOPA web hosting companies and the best and most popular domain name registrar in Lifehacker poll. They've announced the domain name called, "MoveYourDomainName" to rebut the GoDaddy's advocacy supporting the Stop Online Piracy Act (SOPA) and it is an annual activists' event.
