I recently have an obsession with looking at artist creations and masterpieces. The artist that don't use brushes but that make use of the buttons on their keyboards. I would call my style or design very minimal and clean. I do however love other aesthetics as well, from darks, nudes and brightly themed webs. For me, the fonts, background, and imagery set the main scene on websites. For others, this might differ. Feel free to show me some of your beautiful designs by leaving a link. My question is where do you draw your inspiration from. I've recently been searching through the templates at Wix.com. They are marvelous, to put it simply :D.

This will make your thread become a place to spam links and it looks everyone will want to drop a link and go. Instead of this, I would ask how to decide your website "look"? that will help you to have opinions from others why they choose colors, buttons, banners, layouts..etc for their websites.

It depends on which field you are going to build or wanted to build for your website, from that, you will choose backgrounds, colors, buttons or styles that suitable to it.
for example, if you website is an eCommerce website then it should have green, orange, white color on webpages, because everyone will feel trust those colors and affect to their decision to buy your products on your website.

I think I always go with the "less is more" approach to sites. People want to focus on the essentials, so I try not to clutter the look of my sites. I am a bit of a minimalist and a Spartan at heart, though, so I could just be biased here because of my own sensibilities.

The key to making an awesome website design I believe comes down to "White Space". What I mean by this is with whatever color scheme one chooses, have a sufficient spacing so that the content doesn't seem too cluttered. This may seem like an obvious idea but truth is a lot of web design developers neglect this aspect. I hope this information helps! Thanks.

I think your idea of "White Space" is a great one. You want this content space to shine and stand out more than all of the other bells and whistles, if you ask me.

If you want inspiration for any product/service to be showcased via your website then pls visit USAtoday's online website and check out its every page as a benchmark.

According to me USAtoday has the best beautiful website design amongst all genres. Be it e-commerce or fashion designs or any other sites, USAtoday rules over all although being a newspaper publication. It is so perfectly made in terms of segments divided, the interfaces, video sections, news category, content layout, commenting section, advts. layout, etc. The level of creativity involved shows how much effort has been put in its development. The first time I watched it and showed it to someone else it was so awestruck. And till now have never seen a better design then USAtoday's.
God Bless USAtoday's website design.
