If you are interested in developing website templates, it seems as if WordPress would be most lucrative software to learn. WordPress uses PHP language and connects with a database.

Start with HTML & CSS, thats all once you do not need to learn php or mysql it will be waste of time if you only want to create templates.

As everyone has already said, start off with HTML, CSS learn the basics well then move onto something more complex and build up your knowledge that way. WordPress is always a great place to start as its usually quite cost effective for getting sites turned around in a decent timeframe.

I started with WordPress, and quickly moved on to using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to create dynamic web pages. Bootstrap's library helps with the framework and jQuery's library makes JavaScript much quicker to pump out.

I am learning from an ebook and it say MYSQL needs a programming language to interact with and display data.

It is hard to learn CSS in theory although I downloaded some ebooks about this language.

Searched for Bootstrap and it is a css framework, how can I write my own css codes if I use it?

Frameworks and templates are two different things. Bootstrap gives you a grid so that you don't have to create your own containers for content. You can create a template by using the Bootstrap framework. You still have to create some content (HTML) and you would still want to style it with CSS, otherwise you wouldn't have much of a product. I'm not necessarily encouraging you to use it for your own templates, but there are people who do it and web sites that will teach you how. I would suggest Googling "creating templates with Bootstrap" to give you a better idea. I hope this helps answer your question

Start with html and css, for creating templates you only need the two. You can even download free web templates online. There are lot of websites that you can download free web templates and use it as your guide in designing or creating web templates. When I'm starting web designing, I download free web templates online and study them, I used them as an additional idea and guide.

Getting to the stage of a professional web developer is nt hard, however you will need to change your mindset. It will not be as quick as you might want it but I bekieve that it will pay on the long run. I also on the mission of becoming a web developer, I am now confident in HTML and CSS and I know I still have to learn JavaScript, php and Mysql. If you know those languages, youve got the right skills to begin with.

To be a web developer, you should start with the basic. I'm not good at this but I can share you some. You should start in reading some articles about HTML. HTML is part of web developing so make sure that you will be familiarize with this. This is one of the best way to start to be a better web developer.

HTML is very basic and I think I can learn it for a day, but anyway it also helps to build dynamic websites if you are going to build one with PHP and Mysql. Since posted this question, I learned more from other people on the forum and training courses that I bought online via training websites as Lynda or W3Schools.
