I want to buy ev ssl certificate for a company that I am doing marketing and works for them. I checked a few sites that using EV SSL and they look impressing and professional. When I check EV SSL with latest vesion of Chrome then I don't see it but I could see it on Firefox, Opera, Safari. Is it worthy buying ev ssl certificate? Your comments would be appreciated.

Yes for sure, i think many of customers nowaday are scared from summer hosts and scammers which EV SSL will show them that the business is legit and registered . So yes its worth it, i personally would rather order from a host that it have EV SSL instead of letsencrypt ssl.

Letencrypt is free ssl, you should have a look at ssls.com a namecheap brand which it cost around $80/year.

EV Certificates was really a way to look professional in the past, but with the last Google Chrome release, I don't know if users see the difference :

Additionally, about security, there is no benefits with EV certificates. If you use an EV certificates with a 2048 public key, it will be less secure than a letsencrypt certificate with a 4096bits key.

Exactly and it is what I am caring about.
I don't understand why the latest version of Google chrome didn't support EV SSL while other browsers supported it.

Well I believe 2048 is enough for security point of view, the main purpose of EV SSL is the green address bar and yes that green address bar specially in web hosting business make good impression.

The Extended Validation or EV SSL certificate means that a website is checked through non-automated validation and is confirmed as being genuine. Banks and PayPal need to take security seriously, so they use this method. It's not free, or especially cheap, so a lot of normal website simply can't or won't pay for it. Most web browsers will display a green bar up the top with stands out and indicates that the website is legitimate, secure and safe to use.

EV SSL Certificates are recommended if your website has:
• E-commerce websites
• Account area/logins
• Order process
• Front-facing webpages
• Checkout areas
• Other sensitive areas

Pros of EV SSL:

• EV Certificates come with the green browser address bar.
• Increase user trust and lower bounce rates and shopping cart abandonment.

EV SSL certificate is helpful in easing a customer's mind on your site and it can generate improved conversion and profit for online business due to it's follow features:

- EV SSL supports 256-bit encryption with highest strength 2048-bit signatures
- 99.9% browser compatibility
- The address bar turns into green”, along with company name display and padlock activated. These are security indicators shows visitors the website is using Extended validation SSL.
- Increased customer trust
- Domain as well organization (Full) Validation & support to authenticate your website
- EV SSL provides protection against Phishing scam
- Issued in 7-10 days.

See picture to check how EV SSL enabled Certificate Authority's website looks in latest Chrome browser version 59:

Look.. SSL doesn't mean you never get hacked again. U can be hacked. EV SSL means if you running a legal business you can show off.. That's it. It's depends on you!

Considering you want the EV SSL for the customer projection and reliable secure platform. I think the investment in such case is worth it. But if you are running small blog or some small business where there are not many transaction taking place. In such case we can simply use "Let's Encrypt". I have found that as a good option for small clients of mine. But in your case go ahead with EV SSL.

Comodo direct sells EV for $99 /year.

Letsencrypt EV does not.
Letsencrypt pro & multi Multi-Domain : https://www.identrustssl.com/
Identrust isn't Let's Encrypt. You're comparing apples and oranges.

Keep in mind EV SSL certificates can only be issued to organisations and companies. Individuals cannot get an EV/OV SSL. Sole traders can (assuming they're registered).
It's more than just the cost of an EV. You may need your company and identity documents certified by a lawyer or accountant.
Here's Comodo's EV checklist.

I'm neither endorsing or opposing EV SSL's. Just pointing out the pre-requisites.
