Hey, I need to install proxmox on my dedi server , so you guys have any descent steps/doc to make it better. Otherwise i need to consult with any tech guys who already dealt with proxmox. I heard it is something hard part to deal with than solusvm that i know from the past.

Thanks in advance.

If you use OVH or soyoustart servers, you can use their template to install the latest version of Proxmox. But to get started, I recommand you to read the official documentation before starting the configuration : http://pve.proxmox.com/pve-docs/pve-admin-guide.html
Proxmox is not harder to use than solusvm, but it will require some training to use it properly

Proxmox VE is free. It becomes a pain in the a$$ to configure it for KVM VMs
You should definitely give it a try.

Proxmox is pretty straight forward to install, however like others mentioned above if you are using OVH just use their plug'n'play solution, but you will still have to read their documentation for network configuration depending on which virtualization technoloy you are planing to use.

I was having some troubles with my ESX server so I decided to try Proxmox at work. I installed it from a USB flash drive and I found it pretty easy and quick to do. In a couple of minutes the server was up and running.

The only thing I still haven't done is to migrate a VM from ESXi to Proxmox.

I'd be thankful with your guidance on how doing it.

Proxmox is actually simple to set up, however like others described above if you are using OVH just use their plug'n'play remedy, but you will still have to learn their certification for system settings based on which virtualization technoloy you are planing to use.
