I used many browsers but i can not say which is fastest browswers because it depends on conditions as number of addons using on your browsers, your PC specs.
In my personal opinion then Chrome is fast and good to browse websites for viewing content but addons on it are not stable, i don't know why but i prefer using addons that installed on Firefox than using on Chrome.
Firefox is fast if you don't use extensions and I like using extension on this browser because they run stably, not likely as Chrome.
In other words, if you use mobile to view website, i will recommend using Opera mini, it is fast and a bit lighter than others.

When it comes to speed, Chrome is certainly the best.

Okay the browser wars begin. One must admit that chrome is memory eater, although you will love using it. You can find it eating up your memory. If you prefer to use chrome, use Chromium project instead of Google chrome. Want to know why?

Read here: https://privacytoolsio.github.io/privacytools.io/#browser

Although, it is not recommended browser for privacy reasons. But, if you are a chrome fan, use chromium instead. Firefox is wonderful browser for desktop, laptop and mac. For mobile phones, especially on android chrome is the fast browser, and regularly updated. As the point of discussion is windows OS.

My vote goes to Firefox.

I think it depends on what the websites will display on them, if you visit a website with tons of javascript and flash, it will eat more memory than websites use less effects.

Web browsers are always updating their software to have better performance hence issues or benchmarks may not display correct results at this time, it is only relative.

You can find it eating up your memory. If you prefer to use chrome, use Chromium project instead of Google chrome. Want to know why?
Why?
I could not find the info that mentioned that chrome eated more RAM from your link.

Firefox>Chrome for me it's slightly better. I do use both, I prefer Chrome for my mobile and Firefox for my laptop.

Definately Firefox, and sometimes if needed Chrome, these are the best in our team's opinion

Both firefox and chrome are the most popular, for myself i think chrome is stable and fast where firefox is great and yes is fast but if left open with many tabs for long periods of time can make it slightly sluggish due to memory usage.

Windows, being a Microsoft operating system, and Edge, being a Microsoft browser...logic would suggest this would be an optimized match. This isn't the case, as of the time of this posting, and Firefox is indeed the undisputed fastest browser to operate on a Windows system.

It depends upon which platform you are using to surf internet. If you are using desktop computer or laptop then definitely I recommend you to use google chrome. I'm using chrome for a long time, so from my experience chrome is the fastest browser for desktop or laptop. But if you are surfing internet from your mobile devices then I recommend you opera mini. You can use chrome too if you want, but I think opera mini is faster browser than chrome for mobile devices.

Do you have a screenshot of it? I would like to have a look

Yes I have tried almost all web browser available, and if Vivaldi look seems nice, it make the browser less ergonomic and not really easy to use.
I'm stick with the last release of Opera and with Chromium
What is Chromium? it is different from Google Chrome?
I read it has same name.

I have used firefox, chrome, safari, maxwell, UC Browser and explorer. In my experience firefox is the perfect browser for windows. safari may work well on Mac, however, Safari is terrible on windows. Chrome is also relatively good, but it does not work well when your connection is poor.
Currently, I am using firefox as my primary browser and chrome as a secondary browser on my windows computer.

Chrome, I usually open 20 - 30 tabs at the same time but it still fast and run smoothly.
I think it depends on which websites you are openning
If a website contains more scripts, flash, it can make your browser freeze for a while :D

Chrome is also relatively good, but it does not work well when your connection is poor.
I don't think internet connection can affect to how to load of a web browser
How do you proven this?

Currently, I am using firefox as my primary browser and chrome as a secondary browser on my windows computer.
Unless you will say it has better features than Chrome or faster?

I primarily use Mozilla Firefox on my Windows-run PC. It's very fast and efficient. There are also a lot of useful plugins that I use - the Stumbleupon Plugin for instance. It has also a pretty cool developer tool which is very useful when you're editing and designing a website. It has the following functions:
-Toggle Tools
-Inspector
-Web console
-Debugger
-Style Editor
-Performance
-Network
-Eye Dropper
-Scratch Pad
and lots more.
Even if Firefox is highly customizable, it is still very fast and efficient. I experience very little lag.

For mobile though (smartphones and tablets), I believe that Google Chrome is the best. It loads pages in a very fast and efficient manner.

Thanks for letting me know about UC browser, I didn't know about it until reading this post.
I am using Chrome on my phone and it is pretty slow hence I am looking for a new and faster browser for my phone, I will try UC browser and get back to you with reviews latter. :)
