Hello guys,
I have a quick question. I want to have a VPS at OVH to run some WP sites on it. But the problem is I checked cPanel, it is pretty expensive while others are cheaper but I am not familiar with them.
In this case, what control panel should i use? Someones told me that I should use a LEMP stack but I have no idea about this. I've seen some free web panels like suggestions in https://forumweb.hosting/14726-what-is-the-best-free-control-panel-for-a-vps.html but I'm afraid of problems on free control panel.
Can you give me any advice?

Yeah, cPanel does double the price on a low end VPS, but it's worth it if you are not comfortable setting everything up from the command line.
Webmin is a decent choice and free.

You just need to create a LAMP or LEMP stack on the VPS then you are good to go with your WordPress site(s) Plesk also comes in a little cheaper than cPanel.
But if it's just for your own sites forget the panel, setting up LAMP takes about 10 minutes and plenty of good guides around including this forum.

Plesk admin license (for 10 domains) is cheap with the OVH VPS SSD ($3), and free with VPS Cloud. Free control panels are not bad, but sometimes harder than a solution like serverpilot or easyengine

Other control panels you can use are Directadmin, webuzo, but in this Cpanel stands on the top interms of usability and security.

If you have more money than time, go for cPanel, but if it's the opposite, spending the time to learn a bit about free panels will be more valuable. It's gonna take at most 3 hours tops for the initial server setup and you can go from there.

Is using LEMP stack viable with cPanel? I've never tried that, wondering what kind of speed improvements one could get with LEMP stack compared to litespeed.
