My team bought a dedicated server $69/mo and we are going to install a hosting control panel on it. it has 32 GB of RAM, Intel Xeon D 4c/8t but the problem is we don't know which one will be better between splitting it into multi VPS (8GB per VPS) or just using whole this dedicated server for hosting websites. What is more effective?
Please share your advice and why?

If you will be managing the hosting yourself, it would be a lot easier to just have one dedicated. The only reason to split it off would be to give root access to other people, but if it's just you, better stick to one. It would be a lot easier to manage one hosting panel than four different ones for one server.

VPS is best of the both shared hosting and dedicated server. Resources are distributed amid users and doing, so it makes it more cost effective for users. If you want to compartmentalise the server into VPS so that users can use their server, then splitting the dedicated server to VPS is fine. It can be done using software titled a hypervisor. If there is no such need and an exclusive admin to manage the websites, then it is better to use a dedicated server as it offers you complete control on the server.

Not much point splitting it into VPS useless you are selling VPS or need a bunch of sites on their own server. Also if you are managing the server yourself splitting it into VPS will require a lot more management and potential problems if your team is not an expert in KVM etc.

Just stick WHM or Plesk on it and your good to go :)

If you are looking to sale VPS then you can virtualize it with VPS control panels like Virtualizor or Solusvm , provided the server supports virtualizatiion.

If you are looking to sale shared hosting then go for either Cpanel or Plesk.

furthermore , on the purpose your decide to use this server you will have to harden , secure and optimize this server accordingly.

If its your first time to sell service, our suggest to start simple by going with shared hosting sale and learn to manage things once your get along more servers and clients slowly introduce more services like VPS hosting , this helps to organize stuff and offer better service.

If you rent dedicated server, you can actually run VPS inside. Simplest way is running OpenVZ there , ad control your own resoures.

Benefit of VPS is you can snapshot it and recovery is faster .

This advice is easy to understand for a newbie as me, but I would like to know what things are the most difficult if we split into multi VPS? Installing a software to do this job?

What is Virtualizor or Solusvm? can we install them on our dedicated server? are they paid software? how much? and they are difficult to install and configuring?

Virtualizor is a lot easier to use than SolusVM. If you make just 4 VPSes it will also cost less ( $4/mo ). It's all pretty easy to setup and secure, but optimizing is a lot harder than the first two. I'd suggest finding a server management company for the first few months as your sysadmin learns.

It depends upon your websites. If you do not plan to sell vps, there is no need to slits it into many vps, then you can use all the resources for your websites. Also, this specs doesn't seems goods to sell vps because you can sell only few VPS. As you are installing cpanel or any other hosting panel in dedicated server, you can sell shared hosting accounts or re-seller accounts and also can host your websites too.

The best option for website hosting is a dedicated server from a top-tier host, and if you are running an internet business or professional website, this choice may well pay off.
If you believe your website will expand quickly, choosing a dedicated server now can be a wise option.
When traffic increases, for instance, and your site is still using shared hosting, its performance may suffer greatly.
This could lead to higher bounce rates and a decline in revenue.

Many advantages, including improved performance, increased security, and increased flexibility, can come from using a dedicated server for websites. Here are a few suggestions for using a dedicated server for websites efficiently:

Select an appropriate server: Ensure that the server you select satisfies the needs of your website. Think about things like the volume of traffic you think is possible, the kind of content you'll host, and the applications you'll be using.

Optimize server settings: Set the server settings to achieve maximum efficiency. Setting up cache, compression, and other optimization methods falls under this category.

Use a content delivery network (CDN): By distributing components across several servers, a CDN can help your website function better. This minimizes the server's workload and improves page load times.

Put security measures in place: While a dedicated server can offer improved protection, it's crucial to put firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and SSL certificates in place to safeguard your website from possible dangers.

Update software frequently: To keep your server's software safe and performing at its best, keep it updated.

Keep a check on server performance: Keep an eye on server performance frequently to spot any problems that might be slowing down your website. Utilize monitoring tools to keep tabs on server statistics like CPU and memory consumption as well as network traffic.

Have a backup plan: To ensure that your data is safe in the case of hardware failure or other problems, implement a backup strategy. To ensure that your data is secure in the case of a disaster, regularly back up your data to a remote place.

These guidelines will help you make the most of a dedicated server for your websites and guarantee their quickness, security, and reliability.
