These are my two favorite domain registrars and someone asked me the other day about them. They asked which I like best and which did I think was better. I said that it was hard to answer that because I like them both.

I love the Namecheap customer support and their prices are good but Namesilo has better overall prices on domains when you look at both registrations and renewal fees.

If I had to pick just one then I would have to say Namecheap because customer support quality is the deciding fator for me when it comes to things like this.

I'm curious what some of you think. Namesilo vs Namecheap , Which do you like the best and what is the reason for your choice?

I use both, namesilo is better overall, free whois privacy makes all the difference too compared to namecheap for subsequent years after 1st free year (namecheap) :)

Over several years, you can literally save hundreds if not thousands of $$$$ with namesilo for domain + whois privacy depending on how many domains you own :D

I have several domain names at Namecheap and Godaddy but doesn't have any at namesilo
With this recommendation I would give namesilo a try for new domain names that I will buy next week.

I use both of these and some others currently and have started to move several domains from other registrars to Namesilo because of the pricing and how many domains I have. I like the Namecheap support but they just need to come down a little on pricing and maybe have free whois privacy to help.

So you base your choice on the cost factor then? Subsequent years of privacy at Namecheap can be had for $1 with an ongoing promo code.

I'm not disagreeing with you, I am just curious as to if that is the more important factor for you.

Yes I agree with you on the pricing. I just don't know if that would impact the level and quality of their support.

Yeah, I find myself in that situation many times. I really like the support at Namecheap but I have hundreds of domains that I need to consider the costs of. If Namecheap would lower down their prices a little then I would only use them.

Name silo is good if you want to talk about the prices, they are really affordable, not only that but they provide good promotion domains. For example NameCheap provides cheap domains at Black Friday, or any special event but Name silo opens up their promotions for months, which is really good. And lets talk about Namesilo support, it is really good, i have used them but the problem is that they are not available at sometime.

I always make several purchases when Namecheap has their Black Friday and Cyber Monday specials. Many awesome prices on domains and other products and services. :dancing2:

Have you use Namesilo support often? I'm curious if their support quality is always good or not.

You should try it out, they are really helpful, but the problem is that they do not have 24/7 Live Support.

I think that I saw something somewhere about their support hours not being 24/7. They are based in Arizona, USA if I remember correctly so it's probably based on some kind of local business hours.

So far I have only heard good things about their support around the web. That can really help get and retain customers, especially in the domain business.

We use namesilo as well and love the transparency they have! At-least don't have to worry about hidden terms*

There support staff is quick to respond and resolve issues if any!

I use Namecheap and like them because they have good prices and good customer service. I was using Godaddy before mainly because I kept seeing their TV commercials so they were kind of familiar. I got to the point of getting tired of having to call them whenever I needed customer service and they kept being very pushy about buying extra services that I didn't need.

I switched to Namecheap and have been happy with them

I have domains with both, but after I found Namesilo few years ago I'm using only them. I have over hundred domains with Namesilo now which is saving me a lot of $$. Actually, never used their support on a personal account but used a few times as a reseller, they are pretty fast, had no problems.

For me, all my domains at Namecheap but from your reply, I may need to shoot Namesilo a try. Honestly I used Namesilo in the past but their design is very hard to use and hard to navigate information on pages.

Namesilo is my obvious choice, as I have been using them since the past 3 years now. The domain prices are also reasonable and their support is also top notch.

Namesilo seems to be cheaper than Namecheap on quite a few TLD, besides the WHOIS privacy is permanently free of charge. Never had any issues or needed their support in the first place. Namecheap is more than a domain registrar they offer all sorts of services along their TLDs.

Namecheap for support wise, their current control panel UI is not that good.
Nothing can beat NameSilo for their prices, they have live chat but barely come online.

I have to tell that, namecheap guys did not gave my affiliate fees and their affiliate support is not good atleast in my case.

My choice is namesilo, they never let me down. Anyway those affiliate days are gone. Now, we suggest customers to buy domains from favorite registrar of their choice. We just sell hosting and provide support for what we love to do. Simple and cool.

I've used Namecheap for years, they've never let me down. I actually like their new UI, even if many users dislike it:)
The customer support is great, had some issues solved quickly over the live chat, didn't even need to call them.

Perhaps you didn't have enough max payout as their condition or you refer yourself to buy domain names?
I have not used namesilo yet but maybe I will try one there next time.
Namecheap now is support via livechat which is more convenient for customers.

How many domain names are you having at namecheap?
I agree that they have simple UI and easy to manage domain names there if compared with Godaddy.

The problem is not payouts. The problem is they are not even showing reports of clicks, conversions and sales. When I asked the affiliate manager, he said that he have no idea. I asked him to connect me to their head, but that person was also same.. he told me that I did not made any sales ( mean my referred customers). But in fact, my client have more than 20 domains with them, from the day I referred him. So I did not got anything for referring him, atleast the firstime fee also :(

This is insane. Some people may not believe this, but this is real and happened with me. Thats the day I realised that never refer or recommend any third party service and I left domain buying to customers themselves. After all no one listens no matter you bang head to wall. They do what they want to do at the end of the day.

How many domain names are you having at namecheap?
Zero.. I hate them. I will give only one chance to anyone, if they prove bad, done. its over... I no longer recommend them to anyone no matter they have better UI or anything. Making someone fools is worse..

Yes, compared to Godaddy, namecheap is lot better. Still I do not like them , because they cheated me... Hope they are good atleast for you.

Another thing, one of our client purchased their VPS, despite of our warning that their server are not so good. What happend, their VPS runs dead slow, even our shared hosting is 1000 times better. Of course the clients business also collapsed... lol.. mad clients.. Even when we say for their own good, they are like mad never listen. So the lesson..never preach anyone what to do, we cannot save people who are jumping into volcano...ha ha.
