No, I don't feel the technology is advanced enough yet to make the switch from the keyboard. I do think in time keyboard entry will be replaced by voice for many aspects of computing and mobile devices.

Most of my time on the computer is spent programing, (If I'm not on here!) So I don't think voice typing will work too well for c#, jQuery, etc!

I have tried a couple of these but they didn't work out too well for me. They couldn't keep up with me changing altering things accurately. It would be nice but if I have to go back and check everything over anyway then it kind of defeats the purpose. ;)

I tried to search any tools like this but did not find some on the internet or doesn't have any work as expected.
If it has a such tool, I would pay and use it.

I tried this but couldn't get the accuracy that I was hoping for so I decided to just wait until I find something that works better for me.

I tried to use that voice software to write but I have an accent that it doesn't understand. That was the end of my voice writing career. I really like using the keyboard to write because it gives me a chance to think while I write.

Yes, I do use them time to time. Voice assistants nowadays have become more intelligent and reliable. You could speak out the words and they'll type the same over the screen. No need to worry about typing anymore. Particularly on a smartphone whose screen is too small to be written anything on it. And the keyboard just kills everything. They are puny, aren't reliable, you're likely to make more mistakes and typos, whether intentionally or unintentionally, and they have messy grammar and auto correct function that would not recognise certain words, or even misspell them. So it's better to use voice typing, they are reliable and trustworthy. And with coming years they'll become a norm for automated personal assistants.

I tried and i didn't like it, since its not that accurate enough. I get wrong spellings when i tried it and i tried multiple Software's for it. Then nothing happens, So i think that they can't still replace a keyboard when it comes to data input.

I know this is still a technique very much in development, but I use voice. This is the way of the future so I would recommend, that we all get used to it. I use Google docs and it works very nicely. Just connect your laptop or desktop to an external microphone. It's not exactly perfect, but guys you know nothing is. It makes a few mistakes, but you can correct them. it's less tedious than typing. I recommend you use it, I think the more you use it, the better the programme becomes and it becomes faster as it's able to predict what you are saying. It's time to move with the times friends.

I have tried using the voice feature technique to type in the past, but the result was quite appalling. The mistakes were too much for me to continue using it. However, I didn't make use of external microphone, perhaps I will have to try that one too. I have been wondering if such technique can actually help me with my transcription job. If it can, it will be a fantastic tool to use.

Since I am more of a silent worker, I prefer to type my thoughts than voice to text, that way, I can better organize my thoughts and writings better.

Since voice to text is just like transcribing, it picks up everything even simple expressions, just like "garbage in" and "garbage out". I can only imagine having to edit everything that was written there to omit unnecessary words/phrases and reorganizing everything for the desired output.

Maybe in the future, Voice features in smartphone or desktops may further advance to include grammar corrections, and editing into a better output taking into consideration guidelines on better writing practice.

I think voice features are game changer to our modern technology whereas people find it convenient to input texts they wish to input. In my case I don't find it that good as it is a waste of my time talking to a device just to recognize what I'm trying to say is wrong. Not a good feature for me especially those with Android devices because of the recording quality it may distort the words you're saying. Maybe this works well with Apple devices, I don't know.

Not yet, and i don't think i will anytime. And it is not because of some amaturity of technology. When I type text or write with my hand i can instantly see it on screen or paper, and it's easy to edit in such way. When using voice for typing, i will see result only after finishing phrase, and if change my mind about it, i will have to re-say it one more time. But incontestable advantage is, that one can take a comfortable position to type (lay, sit, standing on hand, afoot)
