I am having $200 in the Paypal now and ready to build new sites for earning money online. What fees do I need to pay and how many sites can i build with $200 and at lowest costs? Can any one make a calculation on the total for sites and pricing for each one?

If you are looking to hire a developer for $200 you might get one site but I doubt any developer would create multiple sites for such a small amount.

In poor countries (like in mine, Madagascar), some developers make website for the same value as 30$ as they need really money. But many of them are not serious (specially for ongoing projects), once they received the money.

Well, it depends on what kind of sites your looking for.

You can use WordPress, or another CMS, with some pre-made themes and build your own websites for free.

If your asking about using the $200 to pay someone else to make customer websites for you, then maybe 1.

$200 can get you just one simple website , if you are looking for fully dynamic multi function website with e-commerce facilities then you will have to increase the budget.

I'm assuming that if you're asking how much it'll cost to set up a site, then you're not a developer that can create your own website and would be relying on either paying someone to do it, or get an easy builder to do it.

Getting someone to build it, you'll just about get 1 site out of that. Keep in mind, that leaves you with little to nothing left to market it.
If you use some kind of easy builder and buy into a premium wordpress account, then... at least $5 per site per month... so you can do the maths on how long you can keep those sites. 40 sites for 1 month? 5 sites for 8 months... the combination goes on... you may have to be more clear on what you expect for your $200...

I am not a web developer but not expected to have a site with this budget

You are right, I want to build small websites with premade theme and based on Wordpress cms.

Once again, 1, it is not what I am expecting, I am expecting to have at least 3 or 4 sites with this budget.

Let me tell you my plan as I am going to buy 4 domains / $40 / year, spending $59 to buy a theme at themeforest and using it for 4 sites. Ok I spent $100, the rest $100, buy a shared plan $8 / month, I have $90 remain, I will use this to hire writers write content for me, some Filipinos can offer low rates for content writing and i only need some pages for each websites, I am not going to build big websites with thousand articles.

$200 can get you just one simple website , if you are looking for fully dynamic multi function website with e-commerce facilities then you will have to increase the budget.
No I am not going to create ecommerce, it is complex and requires high cost.

Exactly but just on some parts of my thoughts. I am about creating small sites into small niches which easily get rankings and target audience. I am expecting to build more sites with this budget but seem it is not possible to have more than 10 sites.

Not to intrude to much on your plans... but I'm assuming you're making an affiliate website with other little sites pointing back? Wouldn't it more fruitful to make the one and pool all your resources onto that?

I don't know what are you talking about.
But here is minimal what you need.

Domain name: up to $17/y
hosting : minimal $3/mo per blog or take some better hosting so you can host all in one acc up to $50
Whois protection not needed: about $7-8

if you run wordpress:
premium themes up to $60 (you can reuse it)

For content do you write or ?

min per blog for 1Y its about $50-$60 + WP theme $50 = 2-4 sites

or multiple domain hosting $60-$70 + ($10-$17)per domain +WP $50 (+$7.5 whois id protection per domain) 3~9 sites even more if you get offer for domain
if you don't care for traffic and performance

OR hosting $100 + ($10-$17) domain +50 theme 3~5 sites
for better performance and traffic

All depend what hosting do you choose and price for domain.

Sorry could not share more on plans, I'm only caring how much I will spend and what I will get after spent.

I don't know what are you talking about.
But here is minimal what you need.
Domain name: up to $17/y
I don't think I will spend $17/ a domain /year, the maximum is $10 or $11

hosting : minimal $3/mo per blog or take some better hosting so you can host all in one acc up to $50
As said, I will buy a shared for all sites not per site a hosting plan, it's hard to manage.

Whois protection not needed: about $7-8
Will not use Whois protection, it is not necessary and waste of money.

if you run wordpress:
premium themes up to $60 (you can reuse it)
Right, as I am seeing, themeforest is offering $59 for a premium theme but I am having other plans to buy themes to build different websites in different niches.

I will hire content writers.
Your calculations above might be wrong so I think these calculations are also wrong.
All depends on what I will buy in this week or next week, I am preparing works before building real sites.

The only part of your plan that I would say to rethink is using a Shared web host...especially with WordPress.

If this is the first time you or someone else is going to be build a WordPress website...make sure to get a Reseller Account. The reason for this, a Reseller account will separate each domain/website into it's own account. As a new person to WordPress, you may run into a situation where a theme or plugin is exploited. If this happens and you're using a a Shared account...you're most likely going to have a add-on structure, and the problem with that is if any website within the account should be exploited..it's a good chance all of them will be. With a Reseller account, the chances of the issue spreading is greatly reduced since any issues with one domain will be limited to that domain...unless the exploits are on your computer. Exploits are viruses/holes within a theme or plugin that can allow anyone access to your website to do almost they want.

Sorry didn't see your post. (long story)

I was close to your calculation.

didn't expect that you will hire someone for content.

I don't know if that really works anymore. (ok that is for affiliate and adsense)
But you are right you can have 3-4 small sites.

For articles I'm not sure how they charge this days.

Good luck with your blogs

David, if you can get the domains for that price and hosting at that price then you should be able to do what you are planning. The only thing I see as an issue is the themeforest wordpress theme. You will have to look at the licensing but it may be that you can only use the theme for 1 domain. You would then have to buy additional themes for the other 3 domains, which would put you way over your budget.

You might need to increase your budget to have something successful but money is not made overnight with creating websites especially if you don't really have the budget to hire good content creators and new content. It would depend on the niche your creating your website about.

I never heard about this, where did you read this?

Themeforest standard license use allows you to use the theme for one end product only. That end product cannot be a product in itself that is sold to others.
Most themes now come with a license ID checker in WP admin which asks you for a valid license key in order to unlock the full product or the support it comes with. In some themes, they ask you to register the domain on the developers site which will in turn give you an API Key or some random generated key that you need to input on your website admin to validate.

energizedit is right. You would end up going way over budget if you were to follow this model.

Thanks for the info, I have to check this again and it is correct I have to change a bit on my plans because that doesn't allow me to use one theme for multiple websites. Maybe I need to choose themes with lower prices to cut cost.

I didn't know that for themeforest.

I was look at others wp shops many of them gives 1 domain license or 1yr membership.

Maybe you should go with some others wp theme developers who gives you unlimited domain license.

There are tons of free WP themes that you can use to start and then change it to a paid one.

I agree with this idea, it can be a great choice if you don't have high budget to develop new sites. After your site grows with traffic and you can earn money from it, change it to a paid theme then it is not too late.

Good morning,

With 200 $, you can only make one good and profitable website. I think you should start with one website and manage it until it becomes a money generator, enough to pay an employee which will manage the website (writings, forum posts, ...). After that, you can start an second website and redo same things.

You'll have to do some digging on the domain names, but usually the standard cost of a domain name is $15.00 (however as mentioned, you might be able to find some coupon codes). Although not recommended you can technically host multiple websites off of a single web hosting account (which would run you around $50.00-$70.00), however again, coupon codes might do you some justice in this scenario.

For the themes, it might make more sense to go with free themes for now. So lets say you get your web hosting for $60.00, that will leave you with enough budget for 9 domain names. So to answer your question, about 9 websites for the cost of $200.00.

Yeah but he want some content writers and that cost.
About domain costs I know that he can get .com for $11 (regular price) then number of domains increase, so he can run 12 websites. But as OP mention he wants some content writers and that will eat his budged.

Somewhere I find that some ppl sells 1 content for $5 that is lot of money if you buy 5 contents for 3 websites.
It will be best for OP to write his own content or to have one authority website.

Are there any sources for free WP themes that we can trust? I am afraid of using free themes because of unwanted codes they can insert into them.
I am starting with a theme at lowest price $15 on themeforest, it's a simple theme or just a theme with some pages. I need to check somethings before trying bigger ones.

WordPress.org.

I've used supplied by them and never had an issue. One project early last year just needed a simple theme, and I found one that the client liked and looked close to premium. The client had a previous designer who created a mess from an over-complicated premium theme, and the client was almost confused on how to use it, and it did more than was needed.

Opps...I missed this, I thought they only allow use themes if using a free blog on their site but I was wrong. There are really any good theme there and I will bookmark this link to use for next websites, this also helps me cut cost for buying premium themes and developing more websites than expected.

This is going to depend on many factors. You could build an infinite number of sites to make money with by using free hosting and domains/subdomains. However, it would be more professional looking and probably make more money to make less sites but using paid domains and hosting.

You could get a shared hosting plan with unlimited domains hosted, register some $.88 domains with Namecheap, use some kind of cheap cPanel site builder (Wordpress would be slow if you had many on your shared hosting) and start some small niche sites and get 20 or more sites if you really wanted.

Personally I would recommend building 2 or 3 sites to start with and use some good shared or lower priced VPS and then scale up with the number of sites as you find something that is earning well.

To give an exact price/cost there would have to be many more known factors.

You can build many!!
though it depends on some of your requirement and how exactly you are willing to spend that 200 USD.

No. They takes $30, make your website and deliver it as is, without any support, even if their work can't be understand.
What will they provide for a website 30 dollar? do they write a little content on website?

You can build many!!

I know and I am still building small websites, its variable from $30 to $50 a site or higher if I need more services for each website.
