    cPanel with or without Wordpress?

I just bought hosting for my domain name it has been setup everything with cPanel.
The cPanel tutorials on websites or forums are mentioning more to Wordpress. I suspect I don't need Wordpress, in this case what can I use cPanel for?

WordPress is a content management system. cPanel is a domain control interface.
You are not very clear as to what you are asking.

Wordpress is an opensource CMS with which you can build sites. So if you want to build a website through website you can use it provided you are well aware of it. Though you see wordpress in your cpanel its not installed , it just shows the availability of it so you can use it if required. If you have the web pages ready of your website , simply upload it.

I think many of us are not sure what is being asked.

I think the main question is what are you trying to do? If you just need a website, you can either have one built using HTML or put on together with WordPress. HTML would be the safer option. If you haven't used WordPress before, you would need to learn how to secure it to prevent exploits from occurring.

cPanel is just a control panel for your web hosting account. Many customers never use it, or log in when they're initially setting up the account. After that, it's almost not needed.

If you don't want to use cPanel for Wordpress, you can use for your custom PHP sites or whatever CMS existing on the internet and run them with cPanel. I don't think people using cPanel just by they are using Wordpress. Wordpress is just a small cms and it can run on different hosting panels.

How in the hell HTML can be safer options?

You need to know html code and CSS to make it available on all devices.

I was learn html and when I find out for WP and Joomla never look back.

    With cPanel You can:
create, delete, move, copy etc. directories/files
    Create database
    check disk space
    Backup
    Manage domain
    create email accounts Ftp accounts
    And ......

As others says cPanel is well "control panel" for your domain / hosting

And of course cPanel can install php sites like WordPress, joomla mangeto prestashop etc.

If you have lot info's and tutorials about wordpress that means that your hosting provider (or his staff) have good knowledge about WP. Or aim that kind of marketing and users.

I think that the problem might be that you are not understanding exactly what both of these are. cPanel is an interface that you use to do anything that has to do with your web hosting. Things like editing the folders a website uses, checking stats for your websites, do some minor setup or settings changes and other things like that.

Wordpress is the actual software that you use to build your website with. When you install Wordpress the files are put into folders that you can view by logging into your cPanel account. Wordpress is whatyou buld, alter, change, update and do other similar tasks to your website itself.

    I hope this helps.

Hosting companies provide WordPress in their cPanel because it is easy to setup and good starting point for their customers to build their website. Many times customer says "I brought domain and hosting but still I can't see my website" so to assist them hosting companies guide them with WordPress.Wordpress is open source and very popular. So many documentation available over the internet about it.As you mentioned you don't need it simply uninstall it and go with your option.

Yes maybe my question was not clear and people could misunderstand it, I wanted to ask if cPanel can run as well for all web platforms because I watched and read too many tutorials which it quite supported for Wordpress sites while I don't see any info that it will be used for other platforms.
