Entry Processes (concurrent connections) are around 20 - 25 from what I've seen.

Concurrent connections are not the number of users allowed on your site at a time. It is instead the limit for users who are attempting to connect to a PHP or Perl script. 20 concurrent connections would be more than 20 requests a second (assuming the page takes one second to load). In another way, *insert limit here* users would need to visit your site at the same moment to hit this limit.

I remembered this, it was reason why my hosting account at Hostgator, they suspendeded my hosting when my site exceeded the number of processes that they permitted. I got suspension sometimes and they recommended me to choose a VPS but I canceled their hosting later and go with a new hosting company.

Hi BillEssley

An entry process is how many PHP scripts/ programs etc can be run at one. Each process should only take a fraction of a second to execute.
Hosting providers set this up to protect the server from excessive resource usage.

If the Provider using Cloudlinux The concurrent connection will be 20 by default ! More over Shared Packages comes with 20 by Default.

shared hosting is only for Small/Average Level Sites !

Mind you, 20 concurrent connections is alright. It'd be hard to get that limit reached for any average website, as it'd have to be at the *exact same time*.
I had a customer that was featured in the news - that limit wasn't reached, only the bandwidth.
