Hi

I am running my website on Bluehost I have average 700 daily visitors on my website. From the last month I am facing some issues on the site it becomes slow and sometimes giving 500 error. I am thinking to move on cloud hosting or any VPS what will be best for it? DigitalOcean, Vultur or GCM.

Your advice and suggestions are welcome.

If you are having a website with 700 visitors a day, you should upgrade to a VPS or a cloud hosting to take its advantages to your websites.
There are many good VPS plans here, choose one for your site https://forumweb.hosting/131-vps-hosting-offers
You will get tons of problems with bluehost, hostgator or godaddy host when your site grows.

Shahroze,

error 500 is an internal server error which may or may not be caused by your site. 700 daily visitors is not a huge amount and most good shared hosting plans should be able to serve this without issue. A VPS might not give you better performance over a shared plan it all depends on the spec of the VPS.

Bluehost is part of the EIG group who do not exactly have a great reputation for quality of service or customer support.

In short you have to look for new provider, If you start to look for solution what is problem you will lose your nerves and time.
Better find some other provider with better customer support and good shared hosting plans.

DigitalOcean is a good choice or OVH cloud or the ssd vps line. Cloud = redundancy if your good at having your own backups lined up and in sync then you really and truly don't need a cloud platform. Be sure the provider you do go with uses some sort of raid array and they actually have good support, any EIG company could give a heck about customer service.

DigitalOcean is pretty flexible in choosing droplets but I prefer OVH, good price and enough functions for a good web hosting, If OVH has many options in VPS offers I vote it as the best.

Honestly the only person that comes to mind is KnownHost in terms of managed hosting they seem to start at $25 depending on what you need. If your on the market for big services managed hosting sometimes can get expensive to the point where its just cheaper to have your own server and just have a personal admin to administrate it for you but id look at KnownHost and see if they can help you out.

You can always get a SSD vps and purchase cPanel and go from there but it will require some backend knowlege. Even go for a cheap dedi and cPanel might cost a bit more but at least you have room to grow. I don't know your exact business plans but if I'm not mistaken managed hosting providers start in the $20's.

When you looking for servers (virtual or dedi) always choose with SSD, it's little expensive option but its is faster then old HDD.

Don't know if there is managed SSD VPS for $20 (correct me if you know), but from $35 you can find some. Its all depend on resource of course.

For $35-45 you can get
RAM 1,5-4GB
Disk 25GB-90GB
Traffic 2-5TB
2 dedi IPs
with free cPanel or $5-$10/month cPanel

Yes, you should choose Cloud Hosting. As I have found that shared hosting is not more reliable for websites as compared to Cloud hosting. It's time to switch to a managed cloud hosting server which offers higher reliability and speed. You can find different Cloud hosting providers. I will recommend you Cloudways for their support and easily managed platform.

DigitalOcean 2gb server can easily handle 700-1000 users or may be more.

The number of visitors alone is no reason to choose Cloud. Cloud is more about redundancy than performance. For example, you could get better uptime with OVH Cloud VPS but get better performance with OVH SSD VPS.

All you need is a better Web Hosting provider who offers more server resources with their accounts CPU, MEM and Disk IO wise and for better value. You just need to do your research to find out which ones offer more resources and better value for money.

Thanks for the feedback and valuable information provided by you people. In fact! I chose Cloudways 2GB DigitalOcean Server with 3TB Bandwidth and I can witness it uptime which become 2 sec only and still there is no downtime faced. The support department have migrated my website in just an hour and setup all the required configuration for me.

If normal visitor 1000 - 3000/day is fine and not huge. But some shared hosting provider can't allow per day 1000+ visit per day

It depends what do you understand by saying "Cloud". If you need a service that would reduce any possible downtime, it is called High Availability and it worths. There is also a 100% uptime service called Automated Fault-Tolerance. You can use none of those, but you;d still use some service that offers storage area network for hosting data. Then your data would be better protected.

Most of those who clam to offer Cloud, just do virtual instances hosted on clusters. However, Cloud is not just about the underlying infrastructure, it is very much about what kind of services are available on your Cloud account.

+1 for Vultr. Reliable services and the prices are below DO prices.
