We have a website we have been putting together which offers graphic design services for the webmasters and internet affiliate marketers industry for now. There are some parts on it offering services while the rest is posts and graphic tutorials. I thought I had it all figured out until my colleges asked whether we should include live chat or not.

I thought I could use some advice from here. Should we include Live Chat or Not? And why? what are benefits of a live chat for website?

Many thanks!
Emily

Hello Emily.

Live chat in my experience increases conversion rates. I would highly recommend you add live chat to your website.

Be sure that its a good live chat tool which has apps and multi platform applications so you can be in contact on the go.

Yes agreed. Live chat can nearly double conversions when done right. Doing it right means avoiding automated solutions and overseas workers. Many times buyers buy because of yourself.

I would say to add it to your business. Because customers can come online & start online discussion in case any hurdles.

Hi Emily,

Absolutely, If you are selling anything from your site live chat is essential.
I recommend https://www.tawk.to/ it's free and simple to setup.

I have made so many sales thanks to live chat due to having direct communication with potential customers, only yesterday I had some lady who was having problems with her current hosting provider and was worried about moving her site. Thanks to live chat I reassured we would take care of everything moving her domain to us and she placed the order.

Would not of made this sale without live chat.

Definitely yes if you are selling anything online. Live chat not only help you generate more sales, but it also help to to communicate with your clients (after sales). So, it is highly recommend to add Live chat with any website.

As indicated by all other response, it is good to have Live Chat.

But to make your live chat useful, you must be online most of the time.
Indicate when you are available on live chat.
Let it be ran by a qualified staff who is verse with your products.

Clearly indicate if it for sale or for technical support.

As you can see live chat is great, especially if you have a team around 24x7 to answer chats at any time. I tried tawk.to but it kept going down and it is nowhere near as good as LiveChat, but then you get what you pay for (well at least you are supposed to). That said, using tawk.to would be better than using nothing at all. Hopefully, you will have different staff be able to answer the chats at any time of the day or night for better conversions.

Good luck.

Live chat is only going to be useful and beneficial as long as you have someone operating the chat module. Having a chat module installed that is always offline (especially during business hours) can give the impression that the business is not staffed.

Live chat is a ver important aspect of any website offering services because it connects your clients with help in real time. If you get a lot of traffic or customers asking questions, live chat would be very beneficial.

My favorite live chat platform is Zopim because they offer free and paid options and an Android/iPhone app for answering customers on the go. It's really easy to install!

users or buyers like instant answers. Many of them are not ready to wait for your reply by email. So live chat can make more sales.

Live chat is best option to reach end user in real time, but you should ensure you are online 24x7 or it will impact badly on your website review because if anyone visit your site and if you are offline, it means service is not reliable.

Yes definitely get Live Chat. We recently switched to Intercom which is amazing. The live chat itself stays online and even if your not around after a few seconds the script asks a customer for their email. It then gives you a chance to respond via email instead of leaving them waiting. We found that our sales rose after having intercom installed - and it has an app too.

For sure livechat would be a great benefit for your business, but you'll need to have fast reply staff for that.

If you have a lot of customers and questions about your product, it is very useful to have a live chat. Also if you put a live chat make sure that you have actually somebody to answer questions.

I'm thinking of switching back from tawk.to to livechatinc.com as it would save $78/month

But I wonder if users prefer to use tawk.to or livechatinc.com service?

Having a live chat helps the conversion, however, you`ll need to make sure that there is always someone online to reply, slow or no replies to customers can really hurt. Livechatinc is not that expensive, prices start somewhere ~$15/month/agent.
