Hey Bryan,

Here is an infographic with some elements you should consider when designing your website. These are loading time, trust, design, color palette and HTML5, as indicated below.

This infographic indicates that the more an user likes a web site, the more she/he will share it on his/her social networks. In addition, "the more a website is shared the better positions it will get in search engine results" this is in theory :D I will not discuss further.

40% goes to your web if it takes lesser than 3 seconds to load: the loading time is very important, in fact that the sites are loading lesser than a second grow more than others 4%.

Green tones make web traffic grow 3%: dark colors 2%.

70% like reading lists with bullet points: Users are more focused on the first two paragraphs and scan on the first sentences of the first paragraph.

94% like your website if it has a good design, logo, media, customer support, linked to social network profiles,..etc.

HTML5 websites generates 49% of visits and that currently only 29% of web pages are created with HTML5, making them grow.

Am going to add to that: CONTENT, some websites got extremely simple design, but their content are rather rich and hardly ever found anywhere else, so that's somethign worth mentioning too !...

Marketing and providing an awesome service, and it has been growing ever since. That's after you have the fully responsive/HTML5 compliant website, and support team in place.

Automation of services you provide to clients. It is important to have your servers instantly deployed for such things as shared, reseller and vps as well as domains, as these items are bought with the intention of using right away. Thanks

As a starter in hosting business, i guess first imperession is what makes a client attract to your business and by first imperession i meant by website design, logo and etc.
2. Live chat - a visitor need to ask questions even if it written on the site itself they will still ask questions.
and there are more factors like stated above

To grow your business or website is based on many factors such as traffic and your business innovation . You can create traffic by ads, seo, forums and content creation. After that you start focus on visitor retention and conversion. Once that completed you focus on retention.

Once you hit around ~100 clients, you will grow rapidly by word of mouth or recommendations if your service is good. Hence it is important always to mantain good customer relations whenever possible

Its difficult to say, I think the main thing is growing at a rate which doesnt damage your level of service. Everyone wants to get huge over night and sometimes slow and steady is the way to go.

Well personally I believe design does not matter that much, I have seen companies with bad designs and they get their clients. Marketing is the key, if you want to grow focus on marketing, the more marketing you do the more you grow.

Now when you get new clients make sure they are sticked with you, never let them go. I will advice you to invest 80% your time on marketing rest on other things.
