I would go with .hosting as .host as different meaning attached to it, and also the name .hosting seems something that is brandable.

If you are looking to offer services such as shared hosting, reseller, vps or anything related my suggestion would be to drop the .host or .hosting domain and choose a more conventional TLD such as .com or .net.

All the memebers got their votes for .host or .hosting well here is something else from my view. If you want to become a hosting company, you will also need to check if .com and other TLDs are available, to protect your brand. Also consider the special or new TLDs like .host or .hosting renewal cost. I am afraid, there are certian extensions that cost to renew in 3 digit $$$s per year.. So check everything.. all the best. Hope this helps you. Thank you.

I would recommend .host. It's short, sweet, and to the point! :)

Also, like another member said, it covers every single option!

But your domain is covering "hosting" in it mean you considered BlimpHosting was better BlimpHost? :D

First I would try for .hosting and if I dont get then would go for .host
I agree with @reddyash, if .hosting is not available for any domains that I wanted then I will go with .host instead.
The best option in this case is .com if you want to build a website for your hosting company as @rankmyhub said.

Haha, nope, I like BlimpHosting better. :)

However, for a domain extension, I feel .host would be better just because it's shorter.

In my personal opinion, I would always recommend getting a .com. :)

But if you succeed with .hosting or host extension with your site then renew cost doesn't matter at all, I checked renewal price for these extensions and they are $25 for a year and it is worth a try.

I would go with .hosting if blog is related to hosting industry.
I am planning in building a hosting blog like what you said, just wondering .hosting has better advantages over .host?

I don't think it really matters. Both of them communicate the idea of webhosting. In fact, possibly they were created because it was thought that there would be too many registrations for just one of them.

That's interesting because in another thread I mentioned the renewal was too high. Perhaps, though, I was just looking at the renewal rate on some more expensive website when renewals on places like NameCheap were around 25 USD a year. Has anyone else made a similar error?
