Is it possibly to pay a website host only per month?

I have been researching hosts and I have noticed that they only offer a "one year package" without per month. Are they still offering monthly but they are hiding it?
Is there any host which I can pay by hour, day, week or every month?

Yes you can find some of providers offering month payment option. But because shared hosting is low as 3$ per month most of providers like yearly payment.
Servers (VPS, semi-dedicated and Dedicated) are monthly.

Most providers offer monthly billing. I would not use a provider that providers yearly only.

In most cases, those that offer yearly only either:
A) Have unsustainable prices that are so low, that have to bill yearly
or
B) May not be around tomorrow...

Most offer it or a trial/tryout option. Better to try than commit for a year without knowing what you are getting into.

There are a hand few of providers that offer monthly billing.

What I have noticed with such providers is that, either the amount you are required to pay monthly is higher than what you will pay if you are to pay for a whole year.

Others will require you pay for set-up fees, at the end you will pay higher than if you chosed the annual payment options.

Lastly because the hosting fee is very low, and payment gateways place high processing charges, the host end up having little to keep. So they prefer yearly.

NB: why won't any one go for annual when there are so many free goodies.
You have a free domain, and lots more.

Most reputable hosts will offer monthly hosting. I always encourage customers to purchase a month or two of hosting before making a longer commitment.

Unfortunately I don't know of any shared web hosts that charge by the hour, day, week. A lot of VPS providers do, however.

Most of the good web hosting providers will offer monthly plans but some low cost plans might be yearly and its better to choose monthly plans.

Most , most, most ...

99% of the hosting providers provide monthly based hosting.
However, the question is which is more affordable ?
Of course you will receive better price on pre-paid term of 3-6-12months.

What we suggest is to signup for 1 month just for test drive, if you like it well keep it :) and prepay for 6 or 12 months with discount etc.

The real reason for providers.... avoiding or disliking the monthly payments is just because there are lot of fraud customers.. paying for one month , spamming around and gg :)
