There is no "advantages" to use Cloud Hosting. It will depend for what you are planning to use it.
If it's because you need to have a scalable infrastructure or because you want to be able to handle high-traffic if needed, a Cloud Hosting will provide you the ability to deploy one or more server in few minutes and to use them as needed.
Most of Cloud Hosting provider offer hourly billing. You can use it during two hours to test a software and you will be charged only for this two hours.

And it require for the hosting provider to have an automated Cloud infrastructure, that mean your server will not be stored on a server, but it will be hosted on a cluster of servers which offer a better availability. But be careful with the word Cloud, because several hosting providers are using it just to sell their package with an extra cost.

And many VPS hosting provider already use some Cloud hosting software like OpenStack, without renaming it as Cloud Hosting.

To have already try Cloudways, I agree for the performances, better than with a control panel. But the price make a good VPS (4GB RAM) around $65. When serverpilot.io do the same for $10 and it's working with any vps, or linux server with ubuntu.

True cloud is set of servers that are used for hosting, that include web servers, mail servers, data servers etc.
In reality your resources are spread on multiple physical servers interconnected.
It's big difference between virtual cloud and true cloud, but many providers says that they have cloud.

This greatly reduces chances of any downtimes in case of a server malfunction.

Most Cloud hosting are "pay as you go" or "pay what you use".

    What is Cloud Hosting?
Hosting services that are provided to customers via multiple connected servers that comprise a cloud, as opposed to being provided by a single server or virtual server. While security and lack of full control of data are the most frequently cited concerns with cloud hosting, there are numerous benefits possible with cloud hosting, including increased reliability and accessibility, seamless scalability and cost efficiency.

Cloud hosting is also sometimes referred to as server on-demand hosting, cloud server hosting or cluster server hosting.

    What are advantages of this?
Cloud hosting for e-commerce sites is the modernized version of VPS hosting. A cluster of servers is present in the e-commerce cloud at the users’ disposal, which assures 99.99% uptime for websites. Further, it’s rich in scalable resources. Here, users are allowed to form several virtual servers, which can be extended to various physical machines. The server in cloud hosting also lets users to change their websites and resources as per the changing requirements. The server is a lot more secure and flexible. Cloud users get to pay just for the resources used by them and need not pay any kind of rental. This feature of Cloud proves to be highly cost effective. On a final note, the high security offered by the e-Commerce Cloud assures iron-clad protection online businesses

The cloud technology allows easy integration of extra resources, such as space or RAM and thus enable website growth.

    Cloud Hosting Benefits

Highest level of website performance guaranteed by multiple machines
    Guaranteed server resources (CPU, RAM)
    Redundant data storage
    No single point of failure
    Website growth flexibility
    Lower pricing and generous features

Google Cloud Platform offers a large array of services that can be tuned to your business specific needs. Google has been known for taking research projects that have been proof-tested internally and making them available to their public cloud customers. For the sake of competitiveness, they might not have all the features that underpin Google's own infrastructure, but they carry some of the most advanced, reliable, and flexible technologies in the market today.

Cloud hosting only charges people for the resources they use. Hosting costs are measured per hour to provide the most control over the hosting budget. Additionally, Digital Ocean offers affordable bandwidth pricing, ensuring that sudden traffic spikes do not drive up the monthly bill.

Cloud hosting is used to store your data online. Your data will be secured on a cloud data. You can access your data from anywhere and any type. I am using cloud hosting services for my QuickBooks account. Techarex Networks are the best cloud hosting providers.

Cloud hosting has evolved as one of the most popular forms of hosting that gained success in the past few years. The main concept on which cloud hosting works is ‘divide and rule’. This means that the resources required for maintaining your website are distributed across more than one web servers and they are rendered as per the needs. As a result of this, the possibilities of downtime are greatly reduced.

Another significant aspect of cloud hosting is that it enables you to manage peak hour traffic loads easily without having to handle any bandwidth issues as one server is always available for providing the additional resources in this case. Therefore, your website does not depend on just one server, there is a cluster of servers that work together, this infrastructure is known as ‘the cloud’.

Cloud hosting is basically a substitute for traditional hosting websites on single servers. It allows users to have easy access and management of their on web information in a flexible way allowing them to have cheaper, and reliable web security. With cloud hosting, vast network of servers are extracted from different information centers scattered in many different locations.

Cloud hosting is more reliable than shared hosting if there is an issue in one account another site will also face an issue on the same physical server. Cloud hosting isolates each server, ensuring that possible stress on one does not affect another server's performance.Cloud server is 2x faster than common physical server it is more secure as well. By distributing server data across redundant servers, information hosted in the cloud is protected against hardware failure. you may also be benefited with better up time

Cloud hosting services provide hosting on virtual servers which pull their computing resource from extensive networks of physical web servers. Clients can tap into this service as much as they need to, depending on their requirements at any stage. In this case, you will be able to save costs since you pay for what you use.

Well to make it simple, just by reading cloud then you know it's a virtual hosting. If there's something up with your internet then you're going to have problems. It may be the future for hosting and one day we might see cloud hosting replacing physical hosting on servers but at the mean time, it's not. If you had to choose between cloud hosting or dedicated then you know which one to go for if you got the budget!
