Hi everyone,

One of my friend is struggling getting first sale and review on his web hosting site. He is participating in social media ad, email list promotions but no results

I feel buyers buy only after seeing your reviews and no of sales. so with 0 sales and review, no body take risk to buy first time. Is that exact?

Please share your guide how to start sale.

Thanks and Regards

Customer's who have not been around the hosting industry tend to rely most on reviews made by websites. while forum reviews are much more trusted and affiliate reviews, customers tend to come across them less often.
More experienced customers tend to check support quality, ask questions in regard to the servers and features then do a general google search.
I my self take forum reviews much more serious than reviews made on websites.

Promotion is the vital part in any business. Hence you would have to promote yourself on leading platforms. BTW forum posting in hosting offers section is also a kind of promotion. Once you do that, you make good chance of getting customer.

marketing on forums, social media, anywhere where people may need a hosting plan. If you know someone personally, they may be more inclined to buy your hosting service and give a good review to get you off the ground.

Offering some kind of free trial web hosting offer in exchange for reviews might be something to look into. Give away some kind of web hosting service in exchange for a review of those services after maybe a month might start to get some reviews coming in for you.

Plus giving people away something for free will tend to have them look more favorably at you and your services.

The only thing is that you would want to give away those services to not just random people that will probably just use them and then leave without providing a review.

Maybe giving away some trial services on a forum like this one and to regularly active members only might get the kind of people you would want.

Start getting your brand out there in forums and get people talking about your service. Offer a discount or a period for free in return for a good review

The moment people start taking about your service others will follow.

However it can have a negative affect too. If you offer a poor service and people start talking about how poor your service is you will start loosing clients never mind gaining them
