Hello ForumWeb.Hosting
I always found it the lengthiest process when setting up a design for my websites and as Im currently trying to change the entire look, I want to get your opinion.
How do you decide on the look, as its what some of the visitors use to decide if they will purchase.

I personally like to look at a tone of different websites to pick the best points from each.
also what is more important to you? (e.g. clear information, modern design, etc)

Hi Luxin,

I went for a clean minimal design for my site. I've always disliked sites where things are flying around the screen.
Products and information is displayed clearly and ordering is simple as two clicks.

As I'm currently working on my frontend, yes a simple and minimalist design is better, a visitor can read easily the key features of your offers.
But there is no "perfect design", and when I see some hosting website's design, it seems you can have customers without a good design ^^

I have same opinions with LJSHost, I like sites that simple design and clearn information.

Especially for web hosting sites like yours, I like blue and black tones. A customer reivews should have on each site and of course I like chat online box which I feel easy to ask some questions before purchasing.

Flat design, colors should be suitable to your niches are important.

Also, It should work fine on all mobile devices.

Just my thoughts!

It has to be unforgettable. Modern. Sleek. Has to be clear what sets you from the apart within 5 seconds of looking through your homepage. That's how you convert. That's how you build a legacy.

If I am not wrong then you are mentioning to the simplicity of the design?
For me, If I can choose a design for web hosting front end, I would design it with black and white color, a little color for dark blue and price should be dark yellow/orange.
Black, white and dark blue make hosting sites look very strong, it presents for VPS or strong servers as they (web hosting providers) are owning. :D
Of course, flat & modern design as responsive templates is a must.

Just my 0.2 cents!

If you mean with simplicity that it shouldn't have more than necessary, then yes. I'm talking more content wise. What is your niche? What sets you apart. Do you offer VPS's with 1000mbps's then that should be right in your face when you enter the website.

Unfortunately a lot of web hosting providers don't set themselves apart.

I was thinking of going for the colour blue and involving yellow simply because yellow stands out so much.

i agree, however by asking around and getting some opinions Ive found out that setting your self apart does not matter close as much as a clear layout of information.

As most of the guys here, I also prefer the minimal look, though not too minimal. The aim is to reduce distractions, like popups and floating boxes, and to focus on content and CTA. Images are good, but I only use them if they serves any purpose.

Clear informative information, easy to navigate. There are so many designs that could look good, we go with a darker color scheme.
