Hi ForumWebHosting !

A quick thread to present you UptimeRobot, a website which provide monitoring services, and it give you the ability to monitor downtime on your server. And with a free account you can monitor up to 50 websites/
It will check every five minutes if you site is online and will also record the response time of your server. It's also a good way to see if your hosting provider is stable.

So to register here

I don't know about tools like this but to be honest I want to use tools install on my hosting to monitor services in stead of using external services.

Is there a tool to setup on my VPS have has same features like UptimeRobot?

To check if your server or website is down you have to use an external service, as the service will not be able to send an alert if the server fail.

After to make simple monitoring, there are watchdogs, monit, observium an many other tools, but in fact, you will use them only if you have stability issues.
