Hi all,

I have created this question to see which is the best and your favorite billing script for your web hosting company?

I knew some as following

WHMCS
HostBill
ClientExec
WHSuite

What are your choices? and why?

I have been using WHMCS for years. it is a reliable solution which can still do its job as your company grows. their support is very slow but are very good at what they do.
WHMCS also has a tone of modules and templates which come handy almost all the time.
I have not used many other ones except billing box. billing box is decent however I do still prefer WHMCS.

Another thumbs up for WHMCS here, never used anything else or had problems with it.
I needed to speak with support a couple of times and always got a prompt response.

I'm using HostBill for 5 years and if it's pretty expensive now, when I have purchased my license, the price was $200 only.

And to compare it with WHMCS, it have more advanced features to manage cloud hosting or VPS. For Plesk and cPanel it's the same

WHMCS (WHMCompleteSolution) is by far the most popular solution on the market and accepted by most web hosting companies. WHMCS features automated sign ups for web hosting customers, automatic invoicing and payment processing in multiple currencies, account provisioning, domain registration and management, as well as a fully featured web ticketing and support system for end users. As a commercial piece of billing and automation software, WHMCS is a firm favorite amongst the web hosting talk community due to its ease of use, customisability and frequent updates and so on..

We personally use WHMCS. It is the most common billing system used by many other hosting providers. It is extremely easy to configure and maintain meaning it is very user friendly. This billing system, as far as I can see, basically does a lot of the hard work for you through their automation system. Hence, this makes it a well worth investment for your hosting company. If WHMCS is not your cup-of-tea, then I would suggest Blesta. Blesta is a lot like WHMCS in many ways. I haven't really messed around with it much, but I have a few partners that use it and have said nothing bad about it. My preference though would have to be WHMCS for that is what we have been using since day one.

I know many will say WHMCS here. However best is a custom coded one which gets possibility to make any changes as required by your business. I personally think that companies using full customized client area and order systems, make good customer acquisition.

So you are saying I'm the only one here to not use WHMCS ? :crybye:

But to have try some other platform (more for testing, than to migrate), Boxbilling is not bad at all, and with a good template it could be a good Billing software to start.

WHsuite only work with web hosting, so for me it's too expensive for the features.

ClientExec, is just ... I'm still looking for the features.

BillingServ seems to be running in beta.

ISPManager allow only to use other product from the same company ...

We don't like WHMCS, WHMCS is the most popular billing system and still the most bugged and open to vulnerabilities one. Needless to say that you are paying good amount of $$ for encrypted script .

We are using Blesta (wondering why is not listed).
Blesta is 99.9% open code which means that you have the power to change or modify anything you want .

I use WHMCS simply because it's one of the biggest names out there and it's very effective for what I need it to do. Billings, supporting, account provisioning - all in one.

That's what I was thinking too, but Hostbill include 120+ payment gateways (not need to pay later for that) and each plan include several provisioning modules.
To receive the update, it cost only $40/year. When WHMCS use a marketplace for the modules/extensions. But if you look at the prices of some modules, it's not cheap at all to use whmcs. For proxmox, the full package cost $249/year.

WHMCS is the best but if your looking for a free solution I recommend Box Billing.
Many of our resellers use Box Billing, you can always import your data in WHMCS once your client base grows.

Definitely the WHMCS billing software is my favorite like many web hosting provider's choice. I have not found any other softwares which are feature reach and user friendly like as WHMCS in my experience.

Always liked WHMCS from the beginning and so had no need to try any others. Been using WHMCS for 7 plus years now and happy I got the owned licence which means none of that client limiting stuff which they introduced recently.
