Do I need to have 4 CPUs for better loading speed?

Normally I chose 2 CPUs with 4+ GB of RAM for my VPS but I suppose it will have better speed if I go with 4 CPUs or 8 CPUs. Is that exact?

Any advice?

If it's for a web server, there will not be any difference. For a desktop computer, it seems logic to want more power, but for a web server, CPU is useless.

Most processing on a web server will only use 1 core at a time. There is some benefit to having 2 cores so that Apache can use one and MySQL can use the other.

Unless you have a large number of site or traffic, chances are getting 4 cores would simply mean the other 2 will site there idle and not be used.

It all depends on what your needs are. How much traffic do you get, what kind of website, are there a lot of downloads? What kind of software do you run on it... When using 4 cores you have more than enough computing power for most web apps/websites.

If you want to see how much I'm using the CPU on my dedicated, here the graph for this month and my piwik report for the visitors.
I'm hosting 64 websites, most of them are WordPress but I have also a magento and 2 prestashop.

I'm using scaleway server when I need to run some tests for few hours, and they have very slow CPU. But if you will take more time to setup your VPS, when it's working, you will have to get thousands of visitors at the same time before having an impact on CPU.

My advice ; 2vCore + 6/8GB RAM = perfect for web

I am a bit more agree with you, more CPUs mean we have different CPU to work on different tasks on a server, it helps websites load faster.

I don't think it is enough to you have a perfect web if you don't do any optimizations for your server like install caching systems or configurations

If you are not hosting heavy application like Magento, you should not have more than 10% avg load for a web server. And if you are using a control panel, it will use memory as much memory as possible to create a cache.
