Support and security. Because many cloud providers have not a very decent security compared to dedicated hosting, so you need to make sure that the security is good and synchronized with the support in case of any inconvenience. Derivation from cloud providers is very important! you must be decisive choosing a cloud providers. Also pricing, don't go after very cheap cloud providers, they may take ages to get back to you on some concern of yours!

I usually consider the scalability factor-If they have room for growth, the uptime and assurance that I will be compensated in case of downtime, the price, the security and the customer support that comes with the cloud hosting package.

Hello,

When it comes to cloud service provider, you should ask questions that are suitable for your needs/business.
1. Ask for additional services that they provide. i.e., any software-based cloud services are they offering?
2. Ask for the price. Cloud services should be a 'pay-as-you-go' kind of service rather than having a large upfront cost.
3. Ask for the security of the cloud. What security system do they have to check in the cloud? Question about who has access to the information.
4. Ask for the location and security of their data center. How can they protect the data center from the natural disaster? What is a security measurement for unauthorized users in the data center?
5. What would happen if they lose my data? Ask for their SLA? How will they compensate your lost? Ask if it has happened before, and how did they deal with the situation.
6. What customer support can they offer? It should be 24/7 either online or phone. What is their average response time and the resolution time?
7. Can the cloud scale up? As your business grows, the cloud should also grow with you.
8. Ask for their downtime history. Majority of the cloud service provider should have a track of record for their downtime. (Hopefully it's NEVER)
9. How will you get set up? It should be relatively simple as logging into the account. Any walk through with customers?
10. How can I access the company cloud? It should be accessible anywhere/ anytime/ any device.

Hope it helps,

In addition to my earlier post, you should really consider which cloud provider is the best fit for you.
