Hi, what kind of template is best for on-page SEO? I'd like to create a new wordpress site, I knew some theme marketplaces like themforest, elegantthemes, templatemonster but there are too many themes so make me confused to choose a good theme for on page SEO. I am not know very well about this, could anyone tell me? Thanks!

I guess you can pick any theme and then work on few things like mega tags, cross linking, sitemap etc.

Yes, like rfharris says, the template will not make any difference for SEO. You only have to install Yoast SEO Plugin after wordpress setup.
But if you need a template feature to make your choice, choose a light template, clean without too much jquery or other heavy assets. Because a good Wordpress template is a template which not slow down your page load, or it will be bad for SEO as Google add website speed in the rules.
And the best SEO template will not add correct headers or good keywords. (I recommand you to search a clean and free template directly at the wordpress.org repository. Easiest to edit than a HQ template with 50 examples pages)

SEO love HTML or XHTML.
People would say .. yaa no man- PHP is the best or Wordpress.
But trust me.. search engines collect data from basic items. If there is any complication they won't collect data.

And WHY HTML? I think - Any changes I can make easily and effectively if it's HTML. I mean 80% people gone rely on Wordpress and there dum plugins. Which is obviously. But if I do something else my result will be diff and I can compare with others.

My intention always be look diff then others! Yaa.. I do mistakes but learn from my mistakes! :D

I think you can choose any of them to buy because almost them a good and have high quality services. However, if you're using Wordpress, I would suggest you install Yoast SEO, this plugin will cover almost your SEO onpage, then you don't need to worry about this.

Good luck to you,

There is no "kind" of template that is best for SEO. The SEO factors vary from developer to developer so one developer might have a good magazine template that works well for SEO and another might have a good blog template that is good for SEO.

The "kind" of template has no bearing on the SEO but the coding, setup and many other factors determine what is good for SEO and what is not.

First of all your question is wrong & confusing because you are combining two things in one thing. Template is for the website & for SEO it should be responsive, mobile friendly, internal linking, site structure & options for the images, & meta tags should be there.

& now you have to optimize the posts & website via Yoast seo, SEO friendly urls, XML sitemaps, backlinks, social media & other seo techniques

I too am wondering the same. I am guessing he meant theme for his website. Make sure to choose a simple looking one and see to it that you avoid null themes at any cost!
