Hi.
Recently, it seems to be hard to target on the country that we want. In last few months ago, rankings of keywords are almost the same results when you check on different IPs of different countries. But now, it seems to be completely different. For example, I check "keyword A" on country A (IP of country A), it ranks on #3, but I check "keyword A" on country B (IP of country B), it ranks #11. So weird. Do you guys know how to sync the rankings?

Hey micheallang,

Google shows different search results on each country because these factors

- Location based on your IP or the country settings on Google toolbar
- User browsing history for both logged in and not logged in users
- Users search query landing to different data centers having variance in algorithmic updates
- Constant testing of algorithmic changes on search users by Google
- By your SEO, if you target your SEO on Google.com, .ca or .co.uk then your results will be more effective on the location you targeted.

Hope it helps!

This is why people are now giving more attention to local SEO and having county based domains like .us, .uk etc.

Thanks for your explanation. By the way, I just wonder how to target on US country (google.com) when I am doing SEO on other country. Does my IP impact on SEO and rankings?

1. Location based IPs are use full.
2. Content in major language.
3. Web and mobile both should works.

Backlinks not going to help if there is no any traffic exchange. And now depends on Google :|
