Well dont look for money back guarantee! there is always an option to upgrade your plan. but before buying any hosting you should know what is your requirements! chat/email with thier sales staff and let them know your daily traffic, avg page size, script, they will surely help you out and will suggest you a better hosting plan, shared, vps, dedicated based upon your budget or requirement!

I agree with your suggestion about upgrade web hosting plan, so you mean we should choose lowest cheap plan first to check hosting features? but low price you can get lower quality features for a plan, right?

Also we can chat to know more a hosting plan if we don't have a real test on packages. They are more different!

Well, customer atleast knows about his traffic, the CMS he is using, wordpress/custom script, page size, total visits per day! So he should check the features listed on webhost site before buying a plan!

absolutely right! webhost actually write unlimited diskspace, unlimited traffic in their shared hosting plans, to attract buyers attention and guess what? buyer think Oh man every thing is unlimited in their shared hosting plan. but when he sign up for the plan, he came to know that I'm bound with Inode, I/O Usage per second, RAM and CPU usage :)

So always choose right plan for your site. Because site visitors love user friendly sites!

I used Godady but to be honest, it's just for domain registrations, not for hosting.

I would find real shared/VPS hosting companies on the forum instead.

I used a hosting company that offered on the forum but I got refund after 3 days because his hosting was hard to use, I could not control some things like configurating reverse DNS and hosting control panel.

There are lots of other (better) hosting companies that do offer money back guarantees on their hosting plans. Some right here on this forum that do. ;-)

well, every hosting company got a system some do money back guarantee and the others no so you have to check with the sales if the company provided this option or not. also, if you don't know your requirement you can get the lowest plan then upgrade if needed.

Hello! I don't like the "money back guarantee" from hosts. They would say 15 days and if you don't like it, they would refund it to you. Thats just pure abuse because people can just get refunds and not really "Pay" for the hosting.

My host does, but I do not care for it :p.
