I am looking for a new niche to develop a site for it, do you guys share your thought on what types of products sell well online at this time? why and how do you think it's more potential?
Any ideas?

Regards
Harry.

Buddy, honestly, if people know, they're unlikely to share that with you on here for free. Especially with not even a free cookie offered?

If you're looking for a new niche site idea. Then you should first think about the interests that you are most passionate about.

Something you have a lot of knowledge or interest in. That way you are more likely to succeed with it if you actually care about it as opposed to doing something you don't care about like ugg boots or something.

As for me, I am more than happy to share my ideas for niche sites as I have many, most of them anyway, others I'm still working on in my mind, some on paper. Some up and running.

But that's how it usually goes for me. Otherwise, for ideas and inspiration, I try to find solutions, answers and fixes to peoples pressing problems.

I use Google Trends and recent buzz words. Try to find new things as they happen and jump on the bandwagon and catch the early gravy train.

Being a digital-preneur as I like to refer to it, I sell all sorts of digital files
(ebooks, videos, software, audio files, image files, etc...).

So, if you are asking what TYPES of files to sell, I would start with ebooks
and videos as those sell very very well and they're super easy to make (once
you know how, of course)...

Whatever niche you decide to go into, people love to learn, so, you definitely
want to look into some sort of "training" product.

How to's are always big sellers, in ANY niche...

The exact product, however, as Hawker already pointed out, is best left for
you to decide... Think of some topics that interest you and do some research.

Another thing to keep in mind is to remember that, especially when starting out,
it can be much easier to sell in the sub niches rather than the main/top niche...

Rather than go into detail here, @RonKillian posted a great article here on that
exact subject matter.

I think it would be easier to list the things that do not sell well online.... but to be honest I cant think of any.

It's a good idea, I totally agree with you.

Just wondering what is the list that should not sell or don't sell well online in your mind? any reasons?

Well now, if we're gonna get down to the nitty gritty,
PORN always sell rather well, so I've heard, LOL.

Here's the bottom line Harry P, EVERYTHING sells well, IF, you know what you're selling,
know who your audience is and believe in it enough to convince your leads that they
NEED to have it as well...

As the old adage goes: A good salesman can sell frozen ketchup to women in white dresses,
you know. The real trick to selling ANYTHING is to find those who are interested.

I don't care WHAT you want to sell, there is an audience for it somewhere...

Pet Rocks -- need I say any more?
Fake puke -- need I say any more?
Fake poop -- need I say any more?

There is no bad business there are just bad marketers. In other words, a large enough audience can make a large enough profit in most every category. There is a process to it. Traditional rules of solving problems for profit as well as sales will continue to produce the best outcomes for all business arenas online or off.

Something else you REALLY should add to the "What should I sell" equation is, how you'll get traffic.

How you'll get your offer in front of the right people. Otherwise you could waste alot of time and maybe money, and end up with nothing to show for it.

Example, weight loss is one of the biggest markets in the world, online and off, but it also comes with stiff competition. Big players with big pockets. So you'd better have a good game plan or you lose that game.

Getting buyers needs to be a part of the planning process.

Well now, if we're gonna get down to the nitty gritty,
PORN always sell rather well, so I've heard, LOL.
It use to. Now pretty much only the pay sites are profiting.

Thanks for the post mention :)

It really depends, I mean if you wanna sell something online then you must first conduct a product research for it to work. You will need to do market research as well like what is pretty in demand nowadays. You know it is pretty much hard to build an online business nowadays since the competition is really big. Might suggest you to do some research first. :)

In my personal opinion, at this time we can sell ebooks, web hosting, SEO services, web design, graphics design services,...they are all things that people need. Other that that, it depends on what you are selling and how quality your services are.

I would say products that we don't buy often. For example, electronics or IT products because when we are looking for those products, we want the exact model and the best way to find it is on google. I'm less likely to go and ask every shop available.
