Hi, The most common methods to get quality Back-links manually are:
- Guest Posting on related websites
- DoFollow Forums posting with high pagerank (ex: thegamecreators.com)
- Guest Posting on DoFollow Blogs
If your website is very helpful to many people, you'll automatically get quality organic backlinks in just a matter of time. Organic Backlinks are natural links created by real people linking to your site in blogs and other websites.
To get your first backlinks, goto: check-website-price.com And type the URL of your website then click "Tell Me".
Hope it helps, Good luck! :smart:

For an e-commerce site I will suggest that you go for guest posting in the fellow sites in your niche. Try to promote your products through them just not to sell them. Build good content that makes you recognizable. And you will get sales.

Because your target is so defined... I would start pumping out top 5 / 10 list articles. 2 particular terms you want to go after is "Muay Thai Gear" and "Muay Thai Shorts" I would then follow up with Muay Thai gear for "Women", "Men", and "Kids"

Just punch out some very detailed articles on Bags and pads and this and that... you WILL get links - and probably better links than you could get if you were out trying to get them.

Get involved in Muay Thai forums.. dont push your site.. but write with Authority... people will gravitate, and link to your site.

You can create back links from their products submission, image sharing, bookmarks, participation in forums & market articles 'n' blogs.

To create an "online presence" you need to build your online presence. You do that through Social Networking sites Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Tumblr, LinkedIn etc etc

Go to www.knowem.com, put in your sites name (keywords) and see which profiles are available. Go ahead and create and setup accounts on all the top Social Networking sites. That's not all you need to do of course. You'll need to regularly post updates and things to these, follow other people, collab with people and build it up over time.

Through knowem, you can find Social Networks, Blogs, Microblogs, Bookmarking sites, Business Directories, Communities, Video sites and much more.

That's how you create a bigger online presence.

That's why sites like it was created. namecheckr.com is similar but not have as many sites.

Hello,

If you're targeting competitive keywords in the sporting goods market, you will find it hard to beat the big E-commerce websites. I would advise to narrow down your niche and look for long tail keywords (somewhat easy to rank for). For the Linkbuilding, as other members have advised you, you should build links by publishing guest articles in blogs in your same niche in addition to sharing your content on social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Google+...)
