It is ture that when you register your domains with various registrar, you still have domains with one registrar when another registrar is out of business. However, the main problem with reisgering with various domain registrar is you will have to visit each reisgrar's website when you want to manage your domain or renew it. I registered my all domains with namecheap because it has an easy payment system. Namecheap is also my hosting company.

There's really no harm in having all your domains with one registrar as most people that provide domain services are just resellers and if they go out of business, you can easily reclaim your domain. By the way I consider it rather stressful to have domain names in different sites considering that when it's time to renew, the will most likely not offer the same prices.

You can keep all you domains with one registrar, no issue. It will help you to manage the domain related services easily as you will be familiar to their domain management panel. But one disadvantage is if there will be any issue at your domain registrar's end then it will stop working of all your domains.

If there will be any maintenance on going then it will be for all your domains.
