SSL means Secure Socket layer, it helps to protect the site and transactions from hackers. If anyone buy a product from your site and pay through paypal. If SSL enabled site,it helps to authenticate the process. IT encrypt the password and user name and other payment details. So in between any hackers won't trace your details.

SSL stands for secure sockets layer, yes it is mandatory for that business who have so much involvement of users and it is also important for google authority. If you know Secure and HTTPS tag must as google ranking purposes. So you should have an SSL certificate to convert your website not secure to Secure.

You can buy it or if you buy hosting then you get a free SSL certificate with your hosting plan. you have to place that certificate code and enable the SSL mode for your website from PHP files. It makes your website easy to us and secure.

SSL authentication stands for Secure Sockets Layer and is a protocol for creating a secure connection for user-server interactions. All web interactions involve both a server and a user. Users often enter or have sensitive, personal information on sites that leave people and systems vulnerable.

SSL stands for secure socket layer. It will give an extra layer of security to your website as your data are transferred as encrypted as a private-public key pair. This is much needed for handling financial transactions and secure data over internet. So if your website is handling such data or transactions. SSL is must for your website and keep your data safe.
You will get lot of paid SSL providers around the globe. Let’s Encrypt is a free SSL service with 90 days of validity and we can auto renew it every 90 days. It has all the features of a standard SSL certificate. It contains a valid CA ( certificate authority to trust and sign the certificate) as well.

If your website is not having SSL and your host allows only https or calling it explicitly as https, if you doesn’t have an SSL or a self signed certificate, you will get a warning while calling your website on browser.

you can simple create a CSR ( certificate signing request) from your host to request for an SSL and contact a SSL provider.

SSL certificate authentication is a process used to verify the identity of the website owner when an SSL certificate is issued. The process is carried out by a trusted third-party called a Certificate Authority (CA).

When a website owner applies for an SSL certificate, they must provide the CA with information about their identity and the website for which the certificate will be used. The CA then verifies the information provided by the website owner, which can include business registration documents, articles of incorporation, and other legal documents.

The CA also verifies that the website owner has control over the domain name for which the certificate is being issued. This is done by sending an email to the domain's administrative contact or by placing a special file on the website's server. Once the CA is satisfied that the website owner is who they claim to be, and that they have control over the domain, the SSL certificate is issued.

The SSL certificate includes the website owner's public key and the website's domain name. When a user visits a website that has an SSL certificate, the web browser verifies the certificate and establishes an encrypted connection with the web server using the website's public key.

SSL certificate authentication provides an added layer of security, as it ensures that the website is legitimate and not a phishing site designed to steal personal information. It also helps establish trust with website visitors and encourages them to enter sensitive information.

SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) is a security protocol that establishes an encrypted link between a web server and a client, ensuring that all data transmitted between them remains secure and confidential. SSL certificate authentication is the process of verifying the authenticity of the SSL certificate presented by a web server to the client.
