I am familiar with Linux load averages via commands already. But I don't understand if it is related to WHM Load Averages? I am using WHM/cpanel, is there a place to check load averages in WHM? I'm just curious and want to know what my goal load averages should be.

Hi Aaron

In WHM load average is displayed in the top right, what a good load average is depends on how many cores your server/cpu has.

For example on a 2 core server max load will be 2.00 on a 4 core 4.00.

If your server has 1 Core CPU

load average: 1.15, 0.60, 3.10
From left to right last one minute, the last five minutes, and the last fifteen minutes.

load average over the last 1 minute: 1.15
load average over the last 5 minutes: 0.60
load average over the last 15 minutes: 3.10
1.15 = 15% Overloaded
0.60 = CPU load was 60%
3.10 = 210% Overloaded

What server configuration you have ...as the load thresholds can be identified and performance counters can be set depending on the server configurations , number of accounts in order to make sure that the services are running smooth.
